Fast forward 2 years, Avacta Affimers have rescued the world and MF would still be walking up and down Wetherby high st with a sandwich board over shoulders proclaiming ‘we are all doomed’ ...the end is nigh’
Arb. The definition of irony: getting caught stealing a pair of gloves in Saudi Arabia.
MFM will still find reason to moan.
Boris saves Xmas due to avacta. Said it months ago. I’ll say it again. That will be the headline.
The multiple kiddie fathering lump will announce it at a podium one evening.
Avacta will do a few hundred percent and mortgage will have a spasm.
Lovely .
Piggy. Imagine being out because some chap bought a house.
The perfect irony. Al becomes a mortgagefreeman and avacta hits £20
Oh the joys
Officials say the rapid, on-the-spot swabs?????
Swabs versus spitting saliva into a tube to test etc??????
Arb.
Is that an echo?
I feel like I have heard it all before.
But... this time, you could be right.
Or not.
Imagine being out this weekend.
Q&a and sun story.
Whoops.
You were warned.
LOL Good riddance. It was unbearable on here last night.
I actually have a theory that when the board goes into meltdown it is caused by one (maybe two) juvenile narcissists who simultaneously log in under several user names specifically to reinforce their own agendas which are deliberately antagonistic to phish for reactions, which they usually get.
Anyway, tonight fantastic updates has hopefully seen them off for good, fingers crossed.
Defending their libel suits I suspect
Where are the juvenile delinquents tonight ??
The article seems to mix up saliva and swab tests.
But its interesting no companies are mentioned, indicating press are not able to release the name.
The 10,000 might be a mis-communication, in that they are waiting for the first 10,000 batch....but press haven't got the full picture.
Very interesting though.
15 mins, swab & nostril. Been a lot of drinking tonight???
Users simply take a swab from inside the mouth or nostril, then mix it with a solution.
A few drops are placed on to the testing stick and a line quickly forms if the virus is detected.
It’s not Avacta as much as would like it to be.
Did anyone notice Dr Al bought a house this week!!!! Outrageous!!!
Should be expanded by the press and Poss TV over the weekend and hopefully some of the reporting sharpened up a bit further. Maybe the pressure will squeeze the identity of the supplier out of the developed source.
Im not ramping DOH. I dont actually know for a fact its going to happen. But I think it almost certainly will. And this article is another hint about when it is likely to come out and by dialling back from that we can see that a tech transfer rns will almost certainly come within 5 weeks.
Wheres bennybenben, does he mix with sun reporters?
DOH, come of the fence. It is most certainly us.
Who else could it be.
Oh yes, I forgot, it could be someone else.
Or us.
Maybe.
Radds, five quid was made up by a copy writer. Not based on fact, but makes for a nice rhyme.
No one will know the price of them for a while as they will not be for sale. Every single one will be bought by our government for quite some time and the cost per unit will not be known and certainly won't be picked up by the end-user. At least not at first.
Five quid?
Read the article DOH - no is correct for trials just started but yes it refers to what looks like our test being nearly ready and coming down a chimney near you for XMas. Ho ho ho.
Given that the Parliament Post of 2 weeks ago, listed only 4 companies of government interest and only one of them is developing a saliva test then if it is not Avacta's then who is it?
Testing technologies of Government interest
The Government is supporting innovation for improved testing technologies, both laboratory-based and more recently for tests that can be carried out at scale and at the point-of-care. The Government is also exploring whether other samples can be used, such as saliva rather than nose and throat swabs. Several companies mentioned in a recent Government statement are working on this:
Avacta: a laboratory test using mass spectrometry on nose and throat swabs and on saliva samples. The company is also developing an antigen saliva test.
Chronomics: a laboratory PCR test that can be carried out on saliva samples.
MAP Science: a laboratory test using mass spectrometry on saliva samples.
Oxford Nanoimaging: is developing a portable technology that uses microscopy to detect whole virus in samples including saliva.
Duck or Veggie Duck for Christmas Earthling.
Is it us?
Ok I gave gone back and read it again. They mention 15 min test using nasal or mouth which sounds like avacta. But then they refer to the fact late on in the article that this is not quite ready yet but likely to be out before christmas. And in the middle they refer to field trial of several tests having started and it appears each test trialled involves 10,000 samples. Article says this info comes from govmt source. So yes it all squares up - no tech transfer/batch yet but govmt as well as company are confident of it coming soon because in order for test to be available for christmas it has to start trials by late november or early december at the latest. This and BAMs will be key drivers for sp in next five weeks.
Re the sun headline
That’s us!
If it walks and quaks like a duck :-)
