DOH, believe or not it crossed my mind. ;0)
VR, I agree with what you just said. I think whilst we all wait for the news, considering we all invested our money on avct, we will try to turn every stone on the way to see if there is anything we haven't probed yet. Tick-tock, tick-tock...
Have a good weekend all.

I agree the concept/execution is poor from what we can see so far. Since it‘s the only thing other than RNS information that‘s publicly available it let‘s our imaginations go wild as to what may be going on behind the scenes and it‘s disappointing. Apologies, I did not mean to sound offensive. The whole Medusa thing is just frustrating from both sides, us trying to figure it out (people thinking it’s Med USA lol) and also them making it look like it‘s a high school project.

vrmnd,
" it seems people on here can‘t even seem to get ancient (or recent RNS) references right. No surprise the good posters (and readers) are getting flushed out"...
What patronising statements, I would say. Anyone even with a mediocre education, or with google access would know or understand the reference to Medusa (and possibly how it's head looked like the virus and associated myths) let's be honest here.
Yes, in my opinion Medusa 19 is cheap and doesn't sound professional at all. I expected much better from any company associated with Avacta and prof Smith. Medusa 19 sounds cheap and a title I would expect coming from someone with little imagination and lacking finesse. I would never imagine the likes of AstraZeneca or Roche to pick something like unimaginative as that, despite trying to show they heard of medusa.

From Wikipedia
"In Greek mythology, Medusa (/m?'dju?z?, -s?/; ??d??sa "guardian, protectress")"
What‘s not professional about naming a company intended to sell products that will help defeat the pandemic after a guardian? The logo is clearly meant to be symbolising the Medusa head... And there has been RNS info about Medusa collaboration a while back, so I don‘t think it "will represent nothing to us as it is". Nobody can predict the future, but it seems people on here can‘t even seem to get ancient (or recent RNS) references right. No surprise the good posters (and readers) are getting flushed out. It‘s getting more and more painful to keep up with all the clutter xD or the repetitions (because of the clutter) especially given the format of the threads within the share chats which is abysmal to begin with.
good luck all the long time holders / lurkers

It's about global distribution to the general public
Is it possible they will advertise the LFT on BooHoo providing a link to medusa, and kick start sales that way?
Looks more like a rose to me. Possibly a thing that ties Lancashire/Yorkshire through shared history? On reflection, didn't go well last time...
Completely agree, I fully expect avacta to sell billions of tests worldwide through government deals, but having an exclusive d2c deal with a brand new retailer instead of using existing retailers with millions of users daily doesn’t make sense, look at clear blue pregnancy test, literally sold everywhere and is considered the gold standard, they have no d2c because the market is so big. It’s like boohoo being the only retailer to sell black dresses they couldn’t manage the load
No I think that Is a stretch and let’s not go down that road. More like a Trump toupee in the wind.
Is it just me or does that logo look like a swastika
In my view Medusa (even the name is not professional) will represent nothing to us as it is, in theory, set up to sell the tests to Tom, Dick and Harry.
In reality, the BBI and other future manufacturers Avacta says is negotiating with, that will handle the real orders; Governments and big businesses and organisations. That's where the real money will be.
Have a good night.
Cheers

Don't think they are damaging avactas reputation yet. Let's face it no one other than the readers of this board know who they are.
The first the rest of the world will hear of avacta is when the media announce the lfd test is available and is actually a real game changer. Then trump will attempt to buy them all and he also won't care who medusa are ..
Beginning to damage avct reputation. Shame as Dr Al does an immense job in promoting the company.
I've come to the same conclusion. Absolute amateur outfit.
Either it's information released in error OR Medusa are playing games. The final paragraph clearly relates to PCR/ANTIGEN testing and not antibody testing..
If medusa are playing games I'd question whether this is a partner we wish to work with.
