looks like they have set up their linkedin under multiple business names and there are two employees attached to one and the rest attached to another... so in actual fact the 3rd is related to me following cytiva I think. It definitely doesn't look particularly well thought out in terms social networking. The PR element probably needs to be running the show and isn't.
mowzer, - It's very amateurish to develop a website using the actual web address you will eventually use.
Choose another name with which to develop the site.
As it is they appear to have given us sensitivity and specificity data for what appears to be a antibody type test that is not for sale yet.
Imagine if they made that mistake with the LFT stick, Alistair might burst a blood vessel..
Go ahead Mow- I think that’s a great idea.
So - I've looked at Medusa19 on Linked in. 2 employees are linked... one shows as a 3rd connection for me... I feel like sending a message saying they are looking like a bunch of cowboys with the website, sort it out.
@Lovebug - Done. Good idea, thanks.
Hi all fellow investors. Been here for 5 months and significant investment as far as I'm concerned.
Don't post much, but when I do normally defending AVCT on this or other boards, in particular when our guys have de-ramped (you know what you have been doing CS!).
Time to relax - the Medusa test is Antibody (have i had it) - the text states "Medusa 19 are working with their partner, Medusa 19 Life Sciences, to exclusively bring to market the best in class saliva lateral flow test for EARLY INDICATION OF THE IMMUNE RESPONSE to the SARS-CoV-2 virus" The immune response happens after you have had Covid for a time (1-2 weeks?) and you develop antibodies.
AVCT test tells you whether you currently have Covid - right now, before you have the immune response and have developed antibodies, and when you are likely to be spreading it.
Totally different, and by far more valuable to society to get us up and running (the AVCT test).
One last point - AVCT relationship with Medusa includes a profit sharing relationship, the details of which are not disclosed.
RRDC youR a joke who don’t know your left to your right! Yhey come in... you set a few process and then they do all the work! Bobs your uncle you have a iso! There are companies left right and centre that offer to get you a ISO! If you want a iso let me know..
Red Reversion, can you put your video and linkedin link on to a new thread - it will get lost. Thanks

Novarum LinkedIn post from 5 years ago. This is a mature app.

“After rigorous testing, our team will help you publish your fully branded app.”
Mic drop.
The video is a must watch. SaturnPass is this rebadged, surely.
Didn’t someone on here say SaturnPass would work with a QR code on each device? Oh yes, me! ;-)
@Red Maybe https://bbisolutions.com/services/novarum-smartphone-reader.html Does not say they have iso27001 but they have ISO 13485:2016 (No idea if they are related in any way its just letters and numbers to me ;-))
Perhaps a plus point for the ‘Amateurs’ theory the Wiggly.
If they are amateurs we could all get a lovely opportunity for a cheap top-up. The test is nailed on though, make no mistake.
By Monday it will be approved!
It now says PATENT PENDING
@JRDC Perhaps they have been working through ‘re-certification’ for weeks already and started with an iso27001 certified system that needed minimal modification for this purpose. Trying to think what else out there performs a similar role. Are there any other medical result tracking apps out there?
I can see some idiot putting iso27001 on the tin because they read it on the data centre marketing brochure but why claim a patent as well? Surely must be pre-existing?
@craig - I'm sure we could knock up a better website for them ;)
@Red - however the 'scope' of the original ISO audit wouldn't cover Saturn - to do this they would need to be audited again, along with evidence of how they apply it, internal audits to discuss security implications, the new policies and procedures, etc, and to book an audit is a good 6-10 weeks lead time with BSI
Medusa is linked to our joint broker Zeus Capital.
They should tread carefully.
@JRDC re your last paragraph. This is why I am not overly worried about what Medusa do as I just dont see the majority of the income coming from direct to Joe Blogg sales. They do have the tie in to distribution via their Boohoo connections I guess which could be useful in terms of logistics. Getting individual consumers to pay £15 for a test from a website that looks like it was made by someone on crystal meth (although it is an improvement on the last version)... I just cant see millions of people flocking there and parting with their money.
There will be income if the test can be sold direct to consumer no doubt (Great to use before visiting family etc) but the bigger pie is surely Goverment and medium/large business contracts (ie testing workforces, Airports, events etc) - I am sure the M&S supplier recently in the news wish they had the avacta test about now!
BBI Solutions also have their own app Novarum, could this be used on the business side if Medusa go with SaturnPass for the consumer side?
On a high note I am happy with my investment. I think the test will come good and I think Avacta will sell as many as they can produce but in my opinion I dont think the majority of those sales will be via Medusa. The test will sell and we will all make money (no idea how much) and while I will sell some if Avacta hits a price I intend on holding the rest longer term to see how the cancer stuff plays out.
Well, only one way to find out, I'll email them.
I too have had experience of iso27001 and also of patents. Both take a lot of time to achieve. SaturnPass claims to have both. I see two possible explanations here:
1. Medusa19 are a bunch of amateurs spouting BS.
2. Medusa19 are working with a long established partner with existing tech that is patented and has iso27001 certification.
Either way, this won’t stop the Avacta test being a success and improving society (and our retirements). If it really is option 1, then the Avacta legal team will rip them a new one and they will simply find another partner. Queue would be around the block.
Exactly. You can target the 'scope' of the audit, but if you're not covering the sales dept, the support dept, the hosting, the infrastructure etc just to try and achieve it quicker then its completely pointless, and any govt body who WILL check, will see right through it, know you're playing games and tell you to do one. Then they'll look at avacta who are promoted as their main partner and assume they're a bunch of cowboys too, there goes not only any hope of getting the covid test out there, but would damage reputation for the cancer therapies and other developments.
I don't think you have a clue what ISO 27001 actually is... You don't just 'buy' it like a ****ing mars bar
