“I think its more a case of those knowing the opportunity was there and are kicking themselves for not buying in sooner and deramping trying to get a better entry.”
Couldn’t agree more and portfolio similarly aligned.
GLA
I am not sure anyone in their right mind would short but ballsy if so.
I think its more a case of those knowing the opportunity was there and are kicking themselves for not buying in sooner and deramping trying to get a better entry.
Anyone who spends as much time on this board (GKB - I have them blocked but seems like they are still posting) would know that the ducks are being aligned here and news on many fronts is due soon. Numerous top posters have highlighted this and so thank you for the continued developments in the story.
Anyway onwards we forget about the deramps. Should be a good week building into expected news towards the end of the month. I am not expecting THE RNS quite yet but would not be surprised if it came earlier that we think. A steady rise over the next couple of weeks will form a higher base for when we get to take off day.
Have not been this excited and committed (% of portfolio) to a share in my 7 years of investing.
No not yet Mumbo......... however (IMO) its amazing that Avacta is currently trading in the current range of 190p- 200p .............. just imagine what the share price will be following formal announcements on CE marking / clinical valdation and contract awards!!
I believe the next few days / weeks is the last chance to get it at this price......... and yes Avacta will be trading at 8am tomorrow, despite the "concerns" of some (you may have heard) regarding a "disruptive" market.
At the end of the day, If you believe the current share price is not at fair value, then you take a position accordingly ..... buy or sell (short)..... easy really............ like everone else you pays your money and takes your chances.
Oddman - I haven’t, if you post a link so I can look through. Before any bid they need an approved test. So let’s see in few weeks what transpires.
Mumbo Jumbo
Have you read the oxford study where they have have wittled down companies from about 50 or so in different stages they are completing stage 4 now. but they are only mentioning Innova but there are other companies left in the trials either 3 or 4,from my understanding these will be the only applicants to bid for the 8 billion lft, testing. i may be wrong.???
Thank you Ray.
Will check in few weeks. Good luck all.

Who knew this BB could stoop to these depths?
An echo chamber. **** off.
Just reading Dumbo’s post history reminds me of the Harry Enfield character Nice but Dim.
Paid deramper.
Mumbo jumbo
I think you meant to say not needed
Iam sure many on this board [ myself included ] are disappointed that the test was not out earlier. If you consider that it is now very probable that the new avacta test will be the best out there and if you read the last trading update you will see a company with incredible potential with lcenses in place and a good cash balance .The test they produce will still have a massive market worldwide whether the uk are purchasers or not.
Welcome Mumbo,
I must say it is great to read alternative, well researched views on this company from clearly intelligent posters.
Please let us know when you are in a position to provide some.
I make that 45p for Mumbo Jumbo through this thread. Make it double time from TW just as its Sunday so 90p and he can quite literally smell his shorts.
Keep going Mumbo_Jumbo, you might have enough for 1 Avacta share soon
Nothing is set in stone until contracts are signed.
You severally deluded if you think there won't be a need for tests this year or next. Vaccine is 90% effective at best. And then theres the problem with numbers of mutations occurring.
LFT's will be a license to print money.
Big Al knows this and will take full advantage to fulfill his future projects.
....mumbo.....all you do is come up with worse case scenarios....would laugh my kok off if there is an rns tomorrow confirming approval
Mumbo,
Because its now in CV ,once CV has started it will completed in the set time scale regardless of how good it may or may not be it is a process.
There are no scientific , manufacturing or other complications that can hold it up it is now a process and will be completed before the end of the month, and might actually be sooner than we think.
There is absolutely no doubt that we will be in a position to tender if the CV data meets criteria. Which I am fairly confident it will.
Oooh change of tac now. Straight up testing wont be needed......I'd do some homework on that one.
What's next on the troll flow chart?
Mumbo_Jumbo
Doesn't it state on the tender recently
It is to run for 12 months from the 7th april?
Thought following Vox we had got rid of the boring paid derampers who actually know nothing about the company and have been fed one line to keep regurgitating . Mambo you seem a total **** and are now filtered
Rap,
My point to Mat and other is that you cannot bid till the test is approved.
There is no certainty that it will by April 7th. This AIM after all. BRH were meant to have their 3 min test ready by the end of Feb.... guess what, it’s now months down the line.
What makes you think avacta will have an approved test by April 7th. Will porton down have to have another go at it.

Mumbo,
The tender has started.
End date is 7th of April.
Avacta aim to have completed CV and have CE mark by end of march,it's not hard.
Dumbo
On 8 February 2021 we established a commercial partnership with Mologic to provide Avacta with a faster route to market for the lateral flow rapid antigen test by CE marking it for professional use under Mologic's existing ISO13485 quality system. The CE mark will then be transferred to Avacta after it receives ISO13485 accreditation, which is expected by the end of March 2021.
the Group is now progressing to a full clinical validation with a larger number of patient samples to CE mark the test for professional use, aiming to bring the test to market in Europe around the end of the first quarter of this year.
Such a test is suitable for mass deployment to identify those people who are likely to infect others so that they can isolate and reduce the spread of the infection.
End of month if not already done.
I’ll give you a tip get out of Bank stocks before the bounce back loans start to crash.
16th Feb
"These data from the first clinical studies will allow us to quickly progress with confidence into the full clinical validation of the test, manufactured at scale, at our clinical trial sites in the UK and the EU."
"On the basis of these excellent initial data, the Company will now progress to a full clinical validation with a larger number of patient samples to CE mark the test for professional use, aiming to bring the test to market in Europe around the end of the first quarter of this year."
So already 3 weeks into larger scale clinical validation. Tender doesn't close for another 4 and a half weeks. So what if it's not validated right now.
PD have also suggested they will accept validation from outside of PD (funny that, AVCT have it on the go in 2 sites.)
So, if S&S is as good in the larger CV sample size then it is absolutely a goer.
You can apply to a tender right up until deadline day - not sure if you grasped that? Hmmm end of the quarter a CE marked test. That's end of March....a week before end of tender date.
Come on - pull the other one
Matt,
So no test approved yet for be able to bid. Can we agree on that?
Do you think Government will wait for avacta to get their test approved before they start the £8 billion tender?
