Yes essentially trying to calculate the discount of this weeks share purchases. Confident we’re correct in what we’re saying too.
Hi
Yes I understand that, which is why i get to £12 for yr end based on a rising btc. I also have a 2023 number which is bonkers.
But Stnz asked me a question re at this precise moment in time, so i answered.
Was to do with buying £3 shares for £1.40 i think.
Just a bit if fun.

Hi RC
Why?
The market is forward looking which is where the P/E ratio came from as a means to future value one company against another in the same space.. I know it sounds ridiculous but today’s value is almost irrelevant.
Only when you wind up a business (value of assets) would a value for now be required??
Ryan and Prophet hi
Thanks for checking the numbers.
We were trying to work out the value as of today. not in 12 months time.
So not forward looking which I know is strange, but just for now based on what we currently have. It would assume no btc mined for rest of yr!
So.. based on an estimated btc hodl today of 870 (764 confirmed as at 31st March + c. 106 so far in April) and £44k BTC = liquidity of £38.3m.
+ Pluto?
Hope clear? or clear as mud?
Hang on.... females
Yes, you are right prophet even better.
I was dividing the figures the wrong way round I blame trying to use the calculator in my iPhone.
I think we may see a blue opening tomorrow both Riot and Mara were recovering well at the end.
Tomorrow could be an if only I had bought more yesterday at this price but I also remember Romford greyhound stadium used to have a huge sign on one end saying “if”
Slightly wrong, it’s been posted many times now, but it’s good to keep it posted
1.32bn divided by 381m shares is £3.50
RC
Really great post - agree Pearls is a real enigma. trying to decide between 2 to 6 but then I realised I may be another category - a BTC to the moon with Peter Wall waving from his seat on board. Firmly believe BTC will not drop as was before and as such Argo and its forward facing crypto strategy is one to tuck in the bottom drawer.

No I’m not an Argo lady, RC. My wife loves Argo though and we’re both invested mutually :)
I’m glad you agree with the approx £3 note, the maths certainly adds up.
RC I am slightly confused by your SP. Have you somewhere Got P/E mixed up with NAV?
I see it as 165 bitcoins a month multiplied by £40k = 6.6m X 0.84 which I believe was last months figures and margin = 5.5m x 12 = 66m which would give us on a P/E of 20 1.32b market cap which is a share price of 290p without any assets or allowing for the increase in harsh power.
Apologies if I am wrong on this and welcome Mrhold.
Thank you Albert. I appreciate you and your welcoming message. I hope my message is of some benefit to the good folk on here. The trolls will sadly always be trolls . I take no notice of their negative comments - they clearly have empty lives and I feel sad for them. I never get resentful as that simply allows someone to live “rent free in my head” and that’s of no benefit to me. A positive mindset is the way to go and in my life experiences it has served me well thus far! As the crypto coin base fans say ... to the moon! You can see I’m not a youngster but I’m very much in the mix of things , I hope! Stay well , stay positive and let’s collectively get the Argo bus rocking & rolling!!
Stnz hi, ok so let me put a #3 hat on. I have been mainly looking at year end where I get £12 time and again so this is a little bit fag packet but here goes:
As of end of 31 March we had a hodl of 764 BTC
We mined 165 BTC across March or 5.3 per day. I believe this will be higher in April, especially given CN issue right now but lets assume the same rate - that is an additional 20 days at 5.3 = 106.
Total assumed hodl as of today = 870.
BTC price right now = $56.3k / £40.4k
870 x £40.4 = £35.1m
@84% margin = £29.5m (again this is conservative)
Pluto value? Off the top of my head £8m of the recent fund raise went to that so let's say £10m total. So £39.5m liquidity as of today.
P/E of 30 (super cautious given tech norms, green btc, btc price projections, Texas, Pluto etc) = £1.19bn mcap
Shares in issue: 381,761,289
SP = £3.10
Or a P/E of 20 = £2.07.
Or a P/E of 199 (as per coinbase as of yesterday I believe) = £20.60
So in short, yep, £3 spot on mate (assuming you are not one of the ARB females?! one of the best threads ever)

Very good to have a new Argonaut on board.
The sentiment generated by your post says it all and will really cheese off most of our new trolls.
I’d read this week, RC but nothing concrete. Out of curiosity would you agree with my approximate fair value estimate of £3, given our revenue etc?
Indeed Stnz, absolutely. The last line of the most recent finnCap summary suggests we will get some detailed forecasts and an updated investment case once the financials are published. Quote below:
"As Argo focuses on differentiating through sustainable, clean mining, and expands its
operations through the 2022 launch of its transformational new facility in Texas, we will update our investment case,
forecasts, and valuation at the FY20 results in the coming weeks.".
I have got a date for these results, do you? Might have read 21st April (tomorrow) but given no one here is mentioning that more likely I made that up.
finnCap 7th Aug 2021
Yearly financials come out soon I believe too, should make for interesting reading.
Thank you so much racing cyclist. I’m truly humbled by your kindness and outstanding reply! Indeed you were one of the peoples posts who I have admired and also found humorous especially during these turbulent days.
You have a great sense of humour that’s for sure! Thank you for making everyone smile.
Keep on bringing your humility and meaningful posts to the board. You keep it real and that’s what’s needed here.
Stay safe on your cycling days out and enjoy the ride.
Thank you kindly Tymers and Just_the_facts. V nice words indeed. Appreciated.
Onwards and upwards from here we hope.
RC
Thank you Stnz for your kind words and support. Absolutely I truly do hope we can find that Golden Fleece! I respect your opinion on the price target of £3.00. I truly hope you’re right and we all make it out smiling and with a few bob more than we started with! There is clearly a lot of interest in this share from lots of different investors... be they day traders or long term holders. I hope that I (and my fellow investors) have picked an exciting stock , an exciting company with huge potential going forward. I’ve met many CEO”s over the years and I particularly liked PW”s persona and depth of knowledge in his chosen field. His Q&A videos are authentic in my humble opinion. He is optimistic and equally realistic and from what I have witnessed doesn’t seem to over promise and under deliver. Obviously he doesn’t control market price fluctuations and seems centred on running a relatively new business to the best of his ability. The rest as they say is in gods hands! Let’s all keep positive, realistic and hopeful. Keep well my fellow investor/s and thank you for taking time out to reply to my earlier post.
Quality that RC, how about
17. Racing Cyclist - general caretaker of the ARB BB, official welcoming committee for new members, general motivational commentator.
RC best post of the day award. Glh
And that is how to open your account I would say. If there has been a better first post I haven't seen it.
Welcome to the board Mrhold (great name btw).
IMHO it is mostly made up of a brilliant bunch...
1. The 'visionaries' who got in super early (still early IMO but many of us feel like laggards in comparison)
2. The 'cryptos' - experts that are thankfully very willing to help educate the rest of us
3. The 'seasoned investors' who like to discuss company fundamentals
4. The 'big picture macro players' loving all things DeFi and looking to shake up the establishment
5. The 'new to all this', taking stuff in, sharing what they find, asking questions and generally pleasant to have around
6. The 'comedians' - there are several
7. The BTC watches - 'bitty's on the move' - saves you having to look
8. The SP watches - 'we're about to break (insert price of choice) - saves you having to look
9. The US SP watches - as above (saves you having to logon to CNBC)
10. The 'pumpers and dumpers' - '£5 by end of day', stick around for 3 days then we don't hear from them for weeks
11. The 'Regretful bitter' - they sold out at 65p (because they lack the knowledge of either the 2s,3s or 4s above) and now rather than buy back in keep coming back to sow their own very special poison.
12. The 'I want in at a lower price Troll' - it's a terrible company / sector and will crash. Until they buy in. Then it's the best thing ever and flying to the moon.
13. The basic Troll. Seemingly cannot invest due to no capital (perhaps made some bad mistakes in the past) and as such looks to find fault with BTC, ARB or anyone who posts anything positive. They grind their teeth when the SP jumps and a little bit of wee comes out.
14. The Elves (paid troll). Debate rages as to whether these exist and if they do whether they are effective. We do seem to have a few of these potentially.
15. The 'funk me this is volatile but I love its'. Would usually be any one of 3/4/5 or 6 but having come to ARB now have a crypto addiction. These guys top up every possible chance they get. Would sell a child before an ARB share.
16. PEARLS - special case. I am currently unable to define.
Glad to have you here, looking forward to your posts

RC
Oh yes for definite Moog I agree long term, but as it stands I feel £3 would be a fair value, our revenue currently would buy the entire Mkt cap inside 4 years, that is the definitive statistic that screams buy to me.
Stnz
I think your most consecutive with your price of 3 quid to be honest
In the shorter term yes but long range I'm holding out for the holy 10 quid and most achievable imo
I’m super jealous of anyone buying at these prices if I had any more to buy with I would be, unfortunately I’m all spent up (am considering selling out some crypto to move into arb as I can’t believe it’s actually so cheap) this is the point where buys look back saying I’m
Glad I did and the others look back saying I wish I did. GLA
