Yeh SA has a risk but could end up as the least legislated part of the mining sector, I’m thinking if trump gets back in 2024 his dislike of btc and crypto could cause issues for Texas and North American miners, thinking taxes on these unrealised gains etc etc so things can change in an instant.
So yeh it’s risky but didn’t someone earlier mention blood on the streets it could end up the best decision going to SA or the worst lol
Good luck mate ;)
Chaebol indeed but as I say my worry is not either the leadership team or the company it’s just the S.A angle. Hope for all its holders they smash it.
Chuz,
Yep me to the sideways movement or slow drip is far more painful as you have a horrible sense of what maybe coming. Least this way we have hopefully got it out the way - Will be an interesting few days. Call me a masochist but I’m glad some volatility has returned.
Ben at bitfarms really impresses me and gives a whole new meaning to the word transparency for btc miners. I always come out with a bit more knowledge on crypto after listening to him. Did a very good video on global exahash rates.
If it does become crypto winter like I say I wouldn’t want much money in it until the sentiment volume comes back. Ultimately let’s hope it’s not going to be a crypto winter because that’s bad for everybody.
@herdie
"The Chuz, Why go down with a whimper when you can go down with a bang ;)"
If it has to be a drop then I prefer it to be a swift kick in the gonads rather than a death of a thousand cuts. I'm just curious now to see how much Im down on monday.
Bit farms are banging it but I’m not sure on the South America angle scares the life out of me and the only reason I haven’t invested. As for the crypto winter if you can stomach it, Have funds tied up. it’s surely an ideal opportunity to increase your share count in whoever it maybe.
Yeh IMO Argo and bitf will be in one of the best positions in crypto winter.
I don’t want much money ina crypto winter bu those 2 will be in the best position but really who does that help ? Prices will remain suppressed.
H,
If anyone buys these miner at highs then expect to get spiked. People that bought at 70 with Mara are fomo or rainbow chasers.
Holding miners is like snakes and ladders, especially the quarter and years warriors anything could happen and does.
Yep could well be 2024 but as you say who really knows, Again though yes the execution was poor but if the crypto winter does now come who is in a worse position those with many multiple thousands of rigs on order or those who didn’t overstretch themselves, all about perspective again - Or investing against trading I guess.
H,
I am very bearish with btc for now but the beauty of btc is it can change in an instant. I really hope we ain’t in winter crypto otherwise it’s see ya in 2024, at least la and everup (where has he gone ) can say they were right in quarters and years x
Herdie,
You say I’m making fair points but then I’m not. I said in august on Stocktwits and here that this would remain in a range of 125p-140p nasdaq wouldn’t budge it nor would btc rise as I had already seen arb not respond to 50-65k when timis sold and then from end of July 26k-42k, I also believed and stated that I felt btc would be bullish up until November so I didn’t want to miss another bull cycle and that’s ultimately why I sold out of arb in September in spite of the imminent ipo and moved into other miners at an optimum time and when they mooned instead of holding apart from a small parcel of bitf I cashed out. Fortunately I acted on what I believed in and it has paid handsomely, who cares what they do after I cash out all I’m interested then is the cycles and lower entry prices which are now available. Lucky probably. But at least I made my point here instead of the nonsensical ramping I see.
My crypto coins suck big time at the moment and so does my easyjet buy so I’m no messiah but for me I did the right thing with arb and more importantly did call it far better than some of the silly rampers on here. The same thing happened on the yu board anD people started making money from that ask dukesy if people had followed me on this instead of the ridicule they could be sitting on nice wins too instead of holding this ? Lol in jest x most hate me.
I too rejoice in pi’s making money when Argo mooned in December January February this was a great place to be, unfortunately since April this has declined and most of it has nothing to do with btc price but poor executions of its business plan etc.
I’m sitting on some healthy p’s I await 79-91p with interest x
And again I’d imagine many are sat on holding many bags from just two weeks ago, Maras lost nigh on half its Mcap in two weeks - Go tell the ones buying at $70 dollars they are in a far better position than Argo holders, It’s all about perspective, All we can hope is Btc does a major reversal or we are sat locked in a Crypto winter, I’m still hopeful we will see ATHs in the new year but with my recent run of form the winter is far more likely ;)
Chaebol,
It matters to me not a jot if you’ve made winning trades or not fair play to you if you have. The name of the game is to make money and I take great joy in PIs doing so as it’s one of the small areas we can improve our lot. My message was more to do with your constant bashing of Arb (And again to be fair it has not performed as most of us hoped after the 1st quarter) whilst all the while waxing lyrical on the others - Take your comment on Mara doing Arbs mcap a few weeks ago - Fair point again but it’s strange you then dont come back on knocking it when it’s lost multiple times that in the past two weeks, It just seems Ulterior motive led.
The Chuz, Why go down with a whimper when you can go down with a bang ;)
Amanensia, Haha I’ve stopped for today although was tempted this morning again ! Indeed buddy I’m quite serene the BTC exposure is for the little ones so In 18 years it will be hero or what the hell was he thinking kinda vibes for them ;)
…and where are the “other miners” now?
I’d imagine a lot cashed out when they DID moon.
…and where are the “other miners” now? How has ARB/ARBK stacked up against the others recently? I’m looking at bitf, riot, mara, hut, hive and thinking that’s not “mooning”, it’s quite the opposite, day after day right now.
Herdie, I’ll really wind you up if I show my trades since September 15th. I’ve possibly inspired some voodoo magic from haters on here or finally followed my convictions and it paid off.
Riot Mara hive hut all falling couldn’t give a monkeys mate cashed out of all apart from bitf few days ago and that’s small so the 13 percent down today could feel a lot worse.
Ultimately my gripes in arb were on the money for the want of a better term, I did post before long time back that I saw this bull run ending November k3 ridiculed me big time so I’m allowed to be a bit of a dick back.owning this since ipo has been a parody, especially when I see thing like only berenberg left on the bid lola’s screaming about millions of director phantom buys but I’m the baddie ;)
Ipo did diddly squat, the adr mess means that continues. Btc going 41k to 69k the other miners mooned and this didn’t. This has a long road to recovery and if btc keeps sliding well it’s crypto winter then, but like always time will tell and I do remain a buyer at my target price of 79-91p.
Gla
Thanks A
Riot was over $40 two days ago! Bitcoin has dropped, what, 5% in that time at most.
There's going to be some bargain basement buying to be done soon.
Chaebol - You are always quick to knock Argo, which lets be honest hasn’t performed for months but you make no mention ever of the others unless they are going up, Take Mara dropped from $75 to $42 since November 26th less than two weeks, Riot $44 to $28 since the 11th etc The only ones to stand there ground seem to be hut and Bitf but they are also dropping of a cliff these past few days. The sector for one reason or another is getting battered.
23 dollars on day of ipo 15 dollars and change today. Lol
I’m guessing it’s humour from you ? Owning this is a parody ;)
ARBK
:-))
