I agree meteorix. I am very confident on the DBX over the next few years so now let’s concentrate on getting the profit margins up on the other still great cars.
The DBS and the Vantage are great cars and when you see them in the flesh they are stunning in a way only Aston can pull off.
I am sure the new strategy will achieve this and some facelift updates will probably be on the way once Mr AMG is on board.
I would love to see a black series equivalent in the Vantage.
Why everyone is focusing only on DBX... Yes, it is a promising car but they a big of a wider range: DBX.
Vantage.
DB11.
DBS Superleggera.
Rapide AMR.
Aston Martin Valkyrie
It's just a matter of time when this one will come back to pre-COVID levels...
I truly hope that you are correct.
I'm poised to increase my investment. So i am a believer.
Profit from Valkyrie alone will service the debt for the next 2 years so they just need to focus on making money on the core models which is the main focus
I think it is at that level.
He snapped up that 12% loan a couple of weeks ago.
and is looking at debt factoring. That is always a long way down the list, as it's costly.
Selecta that would represent 13% average. Not sure exactly what the average is but I would guess in the 7-8% range.
Interest is £250 a minute!!!
Every minute, every hour, every day, every week. every month, every year.
Not even a moment off, for good behaviour.
This is the big looming devil in the detail.
C2645, no definitive number on the profit margin however I am quite sure the price would have been set close to the 30% mark not 12%.
I would love to know the real reason why people come on here trying to down play the company and it’s potential. Please tell us?
I am positive because I hold shares and believe in the potential over the next 2 years. What is your story? Who hurt you? We may be able to help.
Anyone who has been on this chat group long enough will know that I am heavily invested here but I have got to be honest I like to have people like c26 asking let’s be honest valid questions!
I don’t agree with him but I think the reason is that I don’t want to because ehhm I’m heavily invested! and just want to hear good news. Not sure why he is here and why he asks these ‘awkward’ questions but as hard as it to say some of them are valid and need discussing. Has anybody got any idea how much interest we would pay on a £1Billion loan?
C26 why are you so interested in AML and “helping” everybody? We all know anything said here doesn’t change the share price?
DYOR, it's obviously better than my own. If the investment isn't for you (which, I'd suggest, it clearly isn't), then don't invest.
Sorted, everyone happy. Good luck, whatever your decision.
RBM. I didn't say I was right, or you were wrong, I politely asked for a link to support your figure of 30-40% margin, that's all.
RBM
It seem go on for ever.... and I am on your side I believe they won’t roll out any car for small margin as they need margin contingency for over run costs as well just in case. If he right about 12% .... I am sure Stroll and Moers will review costs from sub-companies for parts to reduce etc etc end of the day Stroll and Moers will want hit the targets of margin as this will be only way to save AML.
Also if you read their bonuses to hit target....... I’m sure it will hit the margin.
RBM,
Well said :)
You're right. I know nothing and I bow to your obvious superior knowledge and experience. Humbled.
Misinformation? Is that the same as' I think but have no proof but will post it anyway?'
AMLs profit margin has always been 12.5-13.5%, you can look it up. But with the debt they were losing money on every car sold.
Yep...your right....sounds deal was aready done with Grenadier...
Jesus Christ....!
I wouldn’t surprise to see worker fear with Moers he is very strict at AML and outspoken guy. Very professional.
Remember last weekend we discussed about France factory (Smart) that was sold on one condition that factory won’t closed down ..... hmmmm since the new it look like it sold to INEOS to make 4x4. Interesting time ahead look like Daimler CEO going pull out F1 but the rules in F1 in 2021 has been move to 2022 so might be stay for one year more as new rules will costly to redesign F1 but next year they will have to use SAME CAR as this year no improvement apart banned DAX.
Dear Missus
Clocked that, but just don't like misinformation.
Hope you're well....
Hi Noah......
based on Ferrari profits per unit.....is about 50000..to
60000 pounds per unit....
and ..remember Ferrari business plan .....IS..... ruthless....
also....and just a bit of info....
about the toilets provided for producttion line workers sit down toilets .....
Ferrari management....had the lid s removed ..so the workers
spent less time in there.......ruthless.............
AML stated that the had 'more than 2000 orders', they did not state 2000 specifically. Including dealer demos, the number is currently in the region of 2500. I cannot supply you a link with the GP figures I stated, just as I doubt you could for the incorrect figures you came up with. However, after 35 years in the automotive arena, I can assure you that no manufacturer would invest what they have to recoup 12.5 and 13.5% on their expected volumes. As you rightly point out, that just wouldn't stack up. Unless they were actually planning fail. Doubt that.
Remember also to factor in deal-ship servicing Probably a couple k for a simple filter and oil change xD
Graham1981, can you tell us all why a company selling 4000 DBXs at a profit of £105M per annum and £1Billion of debt should be valued at 1 or 2 billion GBP please?
RMB, please supply a link for the profit margin on the DBX?
and btw...WG, they had to get 1400 orders by start of August to get that loan, so they have achieved that. 12% though, and the bond holders have been trying to shift that debt on at a discount.

Fair enough, we know there been delays until 26tth of June and when Stroll said early July ... the news everywhere says like Aug, Sept etc even some mention here that AM dealerships say there will be delays!!
But I understand where you from and not sure if Stroll DID SAY that DBX will be in June? I don't think so it was ex-CEO (trying keep SP up) then Stroll came in and find the date and he did deliver.
Anyway .....
Do anyone know what turnover for sport car? Sound very simple but couldn't find at all ... becauseonce we have information then work out for DBX....
RNS said....
For the full year total wholesales are currently expected to be broadly evenly balanced between sports cars and DBX.
