Ha, you won't be able to break out of that 3300 - this is now 3 days a week you're gonna lose EVERY week ;o)
Tesla are motoring ahead after their latest results. Best wait until end of the month for AMLs latest results which are predicted to be bad. I expect AML could start to recover now on the basis of simple buying power leading to a big fall at end of the month. Need to be very careful with this one. Just hanging on to my Tesla share for now and will carrying watching this space. Always bigger things working against your average punter er I mean investor.
I think it’s nice to hear about other people’s strategies it doesn’t mean you have to emulate them we are all adults at the end of the day. Love him or hate him WG talked a lot of sense (when you deciphered his posts!) and certainly taught me a lot. If you are reading this WG yes you are Marmite! Lol
From 87p to 57p I had a paper loss enough to buy a small house (in Gateshead anyway) from 57p to 47p my loss was marginal.
When CINE is good, its very VERY good. But when it is bad it is BAD!
Yup it can result in some nice marginal gains. I typically move 20k in and out over a day or two to make the fees less significant.
Only when I can be at my desk through the day, which is becoming less often as the world returns to normal.
The other share that it's easier to do this with is BP- moves a lot slower and more predictably but in tighter bands, you gotta use large funds as otherwise fees make it pointless. CINE again I'm doing this with - more more seat of ya pants with that and moves fast sometimes for little reason - too many furloughed wanna be wolfs pumping and dumping making it difficult to read.
Totally agree da but I’m not seeing that today?
If anybody thinks I’m encouraging people to trade 10% of their holding I apologise. I’m just saying that that’s what I’m trying at the moment. If you check my previous posts I have clearly shown my losses trying to trade TUI! Personally I struggle with day trading and wouldn’t recommend it but in my particular example the worst case is that you are left holding 10% as cash which isn’t a bad thing!
I sold 50,000 earlier today for a fraction over 49p and I am hoping to buy them back over the next few days for 47p but and here’s the but I’m not deramping or saying awful things about AML and digging up old links in fact the opposite I would rather they went to 59p because I still have 90% invested! I just hope you weren’t talking about me!
Noy today - L2 has it going South - perhaps sideways.
Until these shorts / cfd's close - it's a pin down.
Just my take / observation on the trading pattern.
JT
2p on 50,000 shares is £1000! or an additional 2000 shares. Well worth it IMO
Sensible approach 3300
Psht you can do better than a 2p profit!
Ironside, 33. Agreed, 50 or the old 60 is probably about right whilst we await updates on DBX & Moers hitting the ground running. The SP had probably got a bit ahead of itself in the 80s, but any positives coming through and we've already seen how this can motor. I personally don't have the courage or timing to sell / buy back in lower like Rox, the thought of it racing away from me outdoing the potential upside, but like the 10% idea. Think we've all learnt that Stroll likes blockbuster surprises, to date delivered in the complete absence of any preceding chatter. Current radio silence is palpable. GLTA. Jtini.
Yes it was actually you Pau1 and WG who made me realise it was possible. I only use 10% of my holding at any one time so when I get caught out (which I will) then the risk is minimised.
Watching it drop from 87p to 57p and doing nothing was awful and I couldn’t sit on my hands any longer.
Yup same tactic here Rox.... I hold the same number of shares as I did at 75p, at significantly less cost.
I have been selling and then buying back on the swings since the drop from 57p wish I had done it from 87p but didn’t have the courage!
Only a couple of pence each way but for large volumes so once the costs are covered it increases your stake for same £
Very risky of course but so far so good.
It's not rigged. It's pretty standard. And who can REALLY argue that this should be above 50p when they've just done a huge placing at 50p?
@3300
Be careful digging your heels in, they could become stuck, or cause an injury.
If I have my own grip on things, I can always let go (not that they would know or care I was there!)
Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle?
Okay all you science buffs out there!
There is a point to this, in that there is uncertainty about this stock at this time.
Usually I base everything on information and intelligence to start the process of making my decisions.
Here, this is somewhat difficult, but you work with what you have!?!?
What don’t we know?
As many of you have pointed out on other threads, we do not know the strategy being employed, or the effect of Brexit, a possible second Covid wave, US / China tensions, F1 next year, EVs, aliens landing in Skegness!
What do we think we know?
Sales figures???? Someone managing the SP at this time???
What do we want to know?
All of the above.
What do we know?
There is a very strong and successful team being built around this brand. More appointments to come.
However, with my height, weight, and grip, am I willing to hang on to their coat tails for the ride? Yes I am (for now anyway). In my previous career, I looked for strong management, and surrounded myself with competent and effective staff.
This is one of the most interesting stock I have bought. I have never even bothered with forums before, but this one is definitely different (in a good way – mostly, and you make your own judgements anyway). If you think not, have a look at the ADVFN chat site!!! It makes this look like the United Nations!
Sort of agree.
However, I'm not sure any-one knows their agenda.
He's a very canny guy. Wasn't troubled by shafting all those not in the know, last Friday.
But, share price is proof of the pudding.
A doubtful mindset IMO @selecta6.... they're focused on rebuilding the company, not on what the share price does ;o)
@Paul,
My view for what's worth.
Q2 will be terrible.
So, AML will hold back all good news, including DBX launch until then.
Fight bad with good to attempt to distract.
I'm expecting a big struggle to get above 50p, without news.
Again with that huge volume at 50p, it only takes a few of those bid winners to be a little nervous and want a break even to get out.
I thought the DBX Media launch was sometime soon... can't see anything on it anywhere tho?
The SP is under 50P and under absolute strict control.
Another day on the rail road.
Totally rigged.
Let's see the Volume at 0900.
Has to be shorts closing.....................
