Down 18% without news?
Yep FFS
Must be some one in the know dumping big time
You jinxed it!
Quiet today ? considering the nice rise we have encountered
Yeah LSE pretty broken today.
275K total volume. Mostly all buys. Wide spread though which is probably slowing things down.
Both Google finance and the London Stock Exchange seem to be reporting far more trades than LSE today…
Nice buy after time, things are slowly starting to look up. Maybe Gobind was right all along with his approach to comms, maybe they are getting noticed in the right circles.....Can't be much free float left hanging about, as we know, when it moves it moves fast.
Nice makeover of the company group website - www.algwplc.com
Does a good job of explaining how the different pieces of the puzzle fit together and how they cater for the needs of different customer types.
I get where you’re coming from and they certainly could have added a statement thanking shareholders for helping to get the company to where it is today.
However I don’t believe the 3p warrants were a deciding factor for many of the investors back then, many if not probably most of them have subsequently sold their 2p shares (some during the spike to 8p) and given where the shareprice has been for the past 12 months they’ve all had plenty of opportunity to buy shares at well below the 3p the warrants entitled them to buy at if they’d wanted to.
Now I’ve been holding for 4.5 years and wasn’t invited to take part in the raise as I wasn’t know to the board back then so I’ve a biased viewpoint but removing the potential drag factor of 187m extra shares at 3p is a huge positive for all current and potential new shareholders.
I find it rather disappointing that the company simply comes out with an RNS saying that the warrants have expired - and that’s it! No mention of thanks or appreciation to those who funded the company in 2021 and were unable to exercise due to x,y or z. It’s like, just give us your money and tough luck if you ended up underwater.
Warrants Expired GLA
Something changed at 11.20am today with no buys at the time but anyway I'd prefer it to be institutional investors so happy to go with that. Sounds like you have a heck of a holding along with csz. I've been watching here for a couple of years but only joined you guys about 1 month ago.
Would be nice to see another name on the TR1 list, my addition today with other recent purchases takes be to just over 3.9% which is where I'm staying for the time being. I don't think the 2 x 750k purchases were worked buys but someone with DMA that chose to buy after close. As far as I know (and I stand to be corrected) the types of investor that have this access are usually funds and institutional investors. It would be amazing to have an institutional investor taking a decent position. All that said, ALGW has certainly attracted some attention over recent sessions and there's still little appetite for selling which is great for a continued upward trend. I think the next hurdle we need to cross will be 3p but now (assuming there's no rns tomorrow or on the 27th) the warrants have expired I expect a lot of people with Alpha on their watch lists will start taking positions
The 2x 750K?
We had a period where it happened consistently over a month or two as there was some pretty serious acquisition going on but certainly nothing similar recently.
Guess we may see another TR1 holder joining the current four.
Correct me if I'm wrong but with regards to ALGW, I've never seen a large trade that was worked on during the day and then printed after hours!?! Intriguing!
Very nice Raaydaar, I bought the 125,000 and the 75,000 within seconds of each other at 2p this morning and indefinitely finished buying now.
I've added another £8.5k over a couple of trades.
Warrants expire today then that potential dilution risk is removed. Their target for the 2B plan in to have the AUM at $2bn by 2025 and when I last spoke with GS he was confident they would deliver. 2024 could well be a company defining year. Merry Xmas everyone
Buys Vs SP don't seem to make sense, big order going through?
I wouldn't have thought it would be a requirement to RNS as it's information that is already known.
Does the expiry of Warrants result in an RNS?
Still hungry for these GLA
I don’t expect any immediate movement by the end of the week but happy to be proven wrong.
Two thoughts though:
1. If I was on the Board and I had some positive news or developments to announce, if I were allowed to, I’d be holding them back until the Warrants have gone and we're in the New Year. Any rerating from them expiring would be a great platform for further increases to build upon.
2. The Warrants being off the table could well be a precondition to an institutional investor coming onboard. Attracting a significant name has been a target for the board for a good while now and mentioned at previous AGMs. If not a precondition then it certainly makes Alpha an even more attractive proposition to them IMO.
Find out on Friday.........
As and when these expire what reaction will this have on the SP
Wowowowowowowo up AGAIN
