Doesn't look as though the presentation in Atlanta went down too well 😕
...I see URI took a battering yesterday so it was expected somewhat here today. Ah well, nothing goes up in a straight line.
Seems most people on here are long term holders. I bought my first ones for 44p in 2002 followed by 2 rights issues at £1 and 95p. Unfortunately I panicked when they slumped in 2020 and sold thousands at £14.50. At least I put a little of the proceeds into Rolls Royce at 95p
Aeon...I used to trade these when they were £1.50. Sold up around that time and took a break from dealing altogether. If only I'd kept them. DOH!
Anyway, got back in in the 30's so not complaining too much. GLA
I first bought AHT at £3.33 and been a holder ever since. I've sold a few, bought a few, but they just seem to have done well. Happy to keep holding for now
And flying.....
New high for this year but having held them for over 20 years I've seen AHT at £65+
HSBC raises Ashtead to 'buy' - price target 6,600 pence
New high....5952p
URI ...Up 5% after hours in US.
Might promote AHT in the morning....?
Humblest apologies - the Legal and General RNS about Voting Rights was to do with DARK.
I'll get back in my box.
Legal & General Assurance reducing no. of voting rights? Regret I cannot find that info again to check.
Another rapid increase of about 2% starting at 2:30pm. Sold value nearly 4 times that of bought value. Does anyone know of any possible reasons?
Hotter US inflation reported hence sudden drop.
Strange spike to 5912 gives a new high.
A good climb this a.m. followed by a 4% drop in an hour after 2p.m. Have they cleared the 19.4 m shares from KKR yet, I wonder?
Or could the UT(both buy and sell?) trade: 09-Apr-24 16:35:20 5,742.00 236,738 Buy* 5,734.00 5,736.00 14m UT relate to the c. 2:30pm fall on the daily trade graph today?
Could this behaviour be profit taking, or the latter time NY opening, or ...?
NEW yearly high today.
Must be a take-over prospect.
Hope so.
As usually talked about....URI still climbing steadily in the US.
Blimey, that's better. Reason.... ?
Blimey, that's better. Reason.... ?
Up 4.9%.
Takeover speculation?
Why are we up today? Not complaining but this is a huge mcap to move by 3 plus percent!
..recovered quickly after it's 10% drop. Hopefully, it won't slump again before another recovery, though of course , it makes it great for trading if you can rely on that ?
GS must have some AHT shares to sell, or they have been at the bottle.
Goldman Sachs raises Ashtead Group price target to 6,750 (6,550) pence - 'buy'
