AFC have been in on the cusp of commercial success for an eternity. The big news is always just around the corner, like now some are expecting a big announcement on a commercial deal with ABB to coincide with COP26. I hope it comes as it's been a hard road so far with many false dawns. GLAH for next week.
He was ....Alan Bond
Hi Risky
FWIW
Your post prompted me to look at my trading history on this share. I too first bought in 2015 at 49 p and have averaged down since. I had almost given up and wanted to throw in the towel on this one when some good contracts and developments help me keep up my spirits. As others have said, there are a number of potential good news announcements waiting to come.
I had a similar view on CWR which I bought for avg 76 p and didn't expect much in return, as did ITM (20 p).
I lost a lot on Simec Atlantis (70 p bought - today less than 2 p) and XSG (bought £57.00 upon reorg of capital, now 122p).
In short, as you may have experienced already, if not a trader, I suggest hold and wait.
As always GLA and DYOR.
This is only my tuppence view though.
He's called Adam, Marty
2014 this share was a big gamble,
Remember the long journey the share price fell just below 4p
My investment was 90% down
Remember the general meeting the fuel cell had problems of leaking
We have some brilliant posters on here, with great knowledges and good research.
Yes it’s has been a painful journey.
Andy Brough of Schroeders is the problem with the share price and the lack of news from AFC Energy
Alan Bond and his team have done a fantastic job.
It’s going to happen and start believing
IMHO
I think we all agree that fuel cells will form a large part of future energy use. The no brainer being the dirty shipping industry as an almost certainty. It appears we may well have the most flexible chemistry to accommodate the cheapest gaseous version of hydrogen (3 9s) or that which is cracked out of ammonia (cheaper to transport). We also seem to have very low amounts of expensive materials within our system. Electrical efficiency has been stated at 60 plus percent which is at the top end of fuel cells I seem to have read. We know we have a working product. Personally I think fuel cells are going to be pervasive and I would much rather have a boat load of shares in a company that manages to tick all the above....oh I have yay.
I don't post often as I must have something wrong with me as haven't any of the concerns that I read daily - seemingly hourly from some. The first ABB RNS got me to a confidence level of high 90s%. The second RNS slammed me into 99.999% confident and its just a time thing now.
Personally I haven't stopped smiling ever since the ABB data centre RNS - regardless of the sp movements.
Just my thoughts obviously.
Won’t have to wait too long - end of year update next week!??
Risky I can totally see your point and how you feel. No matter what hype is given, AFC’s info to shareholders is poor whatever way you spin it, however the ‘golden goose’ I personally believe is ABB. those guys don’t mess around and will 100% bring large orders it’s just whether AFC can manage the demand once it comes in which I guess is why they are ramping up staff to not let them down. I will be watching very closely the partnership between the two as that’s a company you don’t want to undeliver or deliver late to. But as for bringing in business they will bring us lots
Hang in there Risky this will come good and hopefully very soon, All looks sweet to me. ABB calling the shots but thats fine we will all do well.
Risky,
I guess you've been away and missed the below. Plenty of time for BIG MONEY here.

have been invested in AFC since late 2014 and started posting in 2015. My average for many years was 51p but in more recent years averaged down slightly although bought some at 80p. I have always been a supporter of this company and never knocked the directors. I have to say I am now beginning to question my sanity. I was convinced we would have heard something by now and if we don't my cut off is year end and then I will start to sell hopefully at better than breakeven. I have learnt a lot in my time about shares and investing and also from some great posters on here such as Bumble. I never understood some who knocked this company when they are share holders eg Toy Story et al. Surely support the company you are invested in. We are now nearly November 2021 and still very little revenue coming in. Wait just a few more months I keep telling myself but still nothing. Are we really at the point of huge things happening who knows? At least I have my investment back but if nothing happens soon I guess its time to leave. I have been disappointed of late in the lack of communication and all those leads have not turned as yet into anything. Extreme E overhyped for me. I was in sales all my working life and will be 55 next weekI managed to retire early and thought AFC would be the golden goose still time but my clock is ticking. Good luck all!
