Seen more positive recommendations for iWeb on these forums than way back, on the general review sites. Thanks for your kind words TL.

Hi Velo, Just to add that I have used IWeb as my sole online trading platform for four years. I am an unsophisticated investor, and trade solely in equities which I buy and hold in anticipation of a 20%+ profit, and sell when that gain is realised. All my business on this platform has been flawless; any queries have been quickly resolved using online chat. The only issue was a query regarding a Tui ex-dividend date, which was not clearly explained on the company’s website. The first advisor gave me the wrong information, but I received a subsequent communication from a supervisor who clarified the matter. By the way, thank you for your recent BT Group posts which are both entertaining and informative. I currently have 10,000 BT shares @ 215 and intend to sell @ around 260 whenever that happens. I may have to wait a considerable time although the dividend yield is good. Hopefully there will be a rally if they appoint a well-respected CEO later this year. All the best to you.

Thanks LA for confirming any institutions involved are free of restrictions (after some shares and their placings exercises, it became over the years, my default expectation on company fund raising schemes).

Was interested in your thumbnail expereinces of iWeb as looked at adding them years ago when searching for a cheapo transaction costs broker, but could only find overwhelmingly negative user reviews online. So back then, chose alternatives to add for new ISA's. Also tried IG's ISA platform as it too is only £5 per transaction but can not recommend it as I find their ISA platrform terrible.

Their spreadbetting services are absolutely fine, and I highly recommend them for S/Betting, as that was the sole reason I opened an acc with them, but hate their ISA platform with a vengeance; anyway opened that iWeb acc after relooking at their site shortly after your mini-review experience of them, so funds expected to arrive early next week in readiness to breathe oxygen into the acc. So, far, so good :)

The new shares rank ... pari passu ... equal-step ... with the existing ones. They are indistinguishable from all the others that are/were in existence prior to the RI.

So, any restriction on sale etc could not apply to the shares themselves per se ... any restriction would have to be done on a contractual/agreement basis with the actual holder. As such it's virtually impossible to create/adminster let alone police ... for example if I sell 1000 shares, is it part of my original holding or part of the new issued shares?

From here on in we are dependent on what the market thinks for the share price itself.

Inevitably once the RI has completed (ie now) there are a number of investors who have extended themselves to take up the rights and are now looking to reduce their holdings. Hence the usual/general decline in the days/weeks after ...

I'm not expecting much of an increase for about 6 months ... that would be about right I feel for a bit of rebalancing of holdings etc.

Very nice to see my holding in PHNX back showing a blue gain in my portfolio.

Which begs the question: In my portfolio the total shares etc., are now showing as complete and available to sell, add, or whatever - so how soon can the ii's sell theirs?
Has it been stipulated anywhere that the institutions are prevented from trading their new shares for 3 /6 months or so, first?

It seemed to happen like that last time out. Pleasant attempt at recovery in the diluted share price - then it started - the selling, and down went the SP to near the special /RIssue price. Anyone know if there's a time/date-caveat for the ii's?
