Building momentum... http://www.clintongazette.com/ddd-group-plc-increases-again-strong-momentum-for-buyers/
DDD certainly have a sound case re Licencing claim on LG, and DDD have engaged arguably the best Litigator in the US representing them. A considerable number of manufacturers have pulled out of 3D, but LG have stayed in the 3D technologies for their High End PCs in their new 2016 range. However, stay balanced on this, the US is notorious for mega inflated initial claims in the Courts, settling for a half or even a third is far from uncommon. Even so, even at that reduced level, the impact on the share price could be considerable. Lets see how she goes ..... despite the downturn in 3D adoption globally, its a technology that will have its day, and DDD are perfectly positioned for that eventual day ..... Meanwhile, one step at a time, lets see how they get on with the Court Case :)
Guys balancing there books for the holidays But in my opinion if you don't need to sell don't this share has still some way to go The exciting thing that everyone is waiting for is how much LG are gonna have to cough up The products they are coming up with ain't that great so to be fair I don't see there sales having much of an impact on the share price at the moment But there time will come Who would have thought in a million years that that Candy Crush what ever you call it would be so lucrative but it was and these guys at DDD are lot cleverer than they would ever be
Big rise coming no stock available!
Anyone who has been paying attention might have noticed a big pull on shares over the last few weeks Nothing big enough to ruffle the MM feathers but added all together a lot of shares have been purchased Maybe just maybe the LG thing is about to be sorted Let's just see
Aye ..... I am second in the queue behind you on that one. They are a very good Company at their Core, and were caught by the 2011/12 downturn along with being ahead of the 3D game. Whilst it could be said with justification they didnt spend enough time protecting their IP - that argument will rattle on forever - they certainly are now, and justifiably so. The cash call around Q3 last year should keep them going through the coming Global Crash mid this year, so they are set up well now. Lets hope they follow through. I firmly believe they will follow through and deliver, and it will turn into a notable turnaround story in the future; especially if the IP actions in the courts come to fruition, which is looking increasingly likely - lets wait and see. Interesting times ahead with DDD, this is all going to work extremely well and transcend the coming Global Crash mid this year, or they will Crash & Burn spectacularly. My money is on the former ..... fingers crossed :)
He has not exactly mortgaged the house either But I do have great faith in this company I have been following it for years now for better or worse Wasn't that long ago the target price for this share was 50p and I still think that is realistic might take some time but let's be fair if you brought £1000 worth of shares at 2p and forgot about them of in the next 5 years they went up to 50p result if not you get your money back On this era of what looks like institutions are going to be offering negative interest rates seems like a no brainer to me
I agree ..... and Sanji bought 400K shares on 24 February. I doubt that was on a whim rofl :)
I think the MM are trying to replenish there stocks but don't want to give you anything for them IMO Wait for the buy price drops back to 2p then fill your boots This LG thing will be one of many why do you think they have spent so much money on patent protection specialist Like with many tech stuff there is a fine line between what is new and what is plagiarism and DDD are going to benefit from the big boys thinking they can do what they like if they like when they like Thlnk the thinking is to make as much money suing as selling My guess is 7p by end or before end of April
28% up and no one is posting?
Sorry he bought at 2,50 ,
So that 400.000 yesterday was the director buy at 2.25 ,,,,
I believe people (like myself) are buying here because of the ligitation against LG. $25m case and its more likely DDD will win. See statement taken out from RNS: The complaint alleges that the automatic 2D to 3D conversion function performed by LG's range of 3D televisions infringes the claims of DDD's U.S. Patent No. 6,477,267 "Image Conversion and Encoding Techniques", U.S. Patent No. 6,496,598 "Image Processing Method and Apparatus", and U.S. Patent No. 7,489,812 "Conversion and Encoding Techniques". The complaint notes that despite the fact that LG licensed DDD's TriDef 3D solutions for use with their 3D personal computer products and their 3D mobile phones, the engineering team responsible for the development of LG's 3D televisions pursued the development of their 3D TVs in full knowledge of the existence of DDD's patents and technologies. As a result, the complaint alleges that the LG has demonstrated a pattern of blatantly disregarding DDD's intellectual property and by doing so, LG is getting a "free ride" on DDD's decades of research and development, and unfairly competing in the marketplace since first announcing their range of 3D TVs in late 2009. Market Cap of £3.3m and win case worth $25m (assuming it is $25m as they will have to backdate from 2009 till now) is around £17.8m. They have hired Lawyers who have represented big clients in the past: Quinn Emanuel's lawyers have won over $15 billion in judgments and settlements. Quinn Emanuel has successfully represented many leading technology companies including Google, Motorola, Samsung and Sony in a variety of patent related matters. Its a matter of waiting for the outcome which i think will be in few weeks.
Having reviewed the Upix website, to me this tech certainly looks without any real value! TriDef the same. I can possibly see some value being able to wipe the background for business calls. Niche.
the sheer chance of $25 mill USD being awarded ie a 4/5 bagger just on that should see 50% added here into early spring imo. Plus without that possibility the company is making all the right noises in news.
Buys showing sells ,the 250 k is buy
Sorry good stuff .,,,
Staff or stuff, or both?
Nice ;-)
Very good ,lets see were we going from here ..lots of good staff happening here .
I got very small holding in here at 1.5p. good to see this is moving up.
Anyone understand this buy earlier today?
RNS!! RNS Number : 9278P DDD Group PLC 24th February 2016 DDD Group PLC Website domain name change and new product update Los Angeles, California: DDD Group plc (AIM: DDD; OTCQX: DDDGY), the advanced imaging company, announces that it has changed its website to DDDGroupplc.com where shareholders may now obtain details about the company, including AIM Rule 26 information. The website name change is the final stage of the repositioning of the business as it transitions to the new growth markets in gamecasting, video conferencing and social photography. The Group will continue to operate its TriDef.com, UPixapp.com and GenMe.com websites which support the growing range of innovative 2D background replacement solutions that the company has recently launched. Since introducing TriDef SmartCam in mid-2015, the company has made good progress in the gamecasting and webcasting market where over 200,000 trial copies have already been shipped to end users by its affiliates and licensees. With the positive response from gamers who are creating and sharing their game videos on Twitch and YouTube, TriDef SmartCam is now attracting the attention of leading companies who supply key products to the gamecasting and video conferencing markets globally. Most recently, the company has released its ground-breaking UPix mobile app in the Google Play store which takes social photography to a whole new level. Not only does UPix allow users to take better selfies but it also makes selfies interactive by allowing friends to become part of their photos and to re-share them. The UPix app also allows fans to take virtual selfies with their favourite actors, musicians and sports stars, creating a closer bond between fans and celebrities on social media. The company also recently moved its US office to a new location in the heart of LA's 'Silicon Beach' technology community which has rapidly become a key global technology hub for leading companies including Facebook, YouTube, Google and Snapchat. Chris Yewdall, Chief Executive of DDD, said: "The company's focus is very much aimed at the "Generation Me" millennials who are increasingly sharing their personal experiences online through the burgeoning social media platforms. The fact that it only took a few months to ship the first two hundred thousand TriDef SmartCam licenses when it took over two years to achieve this same benchmark in 3D underscores how much larger the target markets are for our new products. On Twitch.tv alone, 1.7 million gamers per month are now broadcasting video game content that is watched by over 100 million viewers per month. Google has estimated that over 93 million selfies are captured and shared every day which is a key audience for the new UPix app. The latest products are compatible with PCs, games consoles and mobile devices that consumers already own and are easily and cost effectively distributed as software, greatly reducing the barr
