The KU surely isn't going to suddenly stop investigating the Government's handling of our application, once or if there is the referral to UNESCO. No! Spotlight is still on.
Pmsl. TFE, typical post from you.
Decent RNS. What amazes me is that the sp is steady when nothing is happening from the Government, but as soon as our case is moved on to the next stage the sp drops. Lol. It's unreal. I can understand frustrations though, because yet another referral, especially after such a length of time of perceived inactivity by the Government, it seems like a kick in the pants for us. But this one isn't, in my opinion. It narrows the Government's wiggle room considerably for any further ritualistic inertia to be undertaken, lol, after UNESCO has had its say.
Only my view Brick.
The way things are going Suzy you'll soon be able to beat your 2p entry price.
Don't expect an early response from UNESCO if indeed they have to. Anything with a "global footprint" tends IMO to move at a snails pace, a bit like Sweden.
It seems to me that KB has written the RNS with an angle of i told you so .... many years ago... and what have you done since.... squeeze the vice some more if you can KB... lets hope the view is positive from the MM's and we see some blue for a couple of days.... GLA
I'm obviously trusting that the KU will view this dimly, that indeed the Ministry for Enterprise did not ask UNESCO to assess our case a couple of years ago.
Only suggesting it now while under scrutiny utterly stinks. And still, of course, the Government will have yet to make a decision following the referral back. Good job the KU will be involved.
What we don't know is whether the KU will actually agree to the Government's suggestion of approaching UNESCO, but I expect that it will be the case. Good. The hiding places for Baylan and the shifty mob are becoming few and far between in terms of excuses for not wanting to make a decision on our case.
If UNESCO is happy then the Government has to say yes, and the Ministry's performance on its responsible delivery is now being monitored.
Lol. What a palaver.
There we are, the rumour about referral to UNESCSO was true. Fair enough. Here's a link to today's RNS:

Cheers Pocko,
We are item no. 21 out of 24, why are we always at the end of the list, bet it gets postponed again :-(
Continuation of the review by the constitutional committee on the 3rd November

Thanks. Yes, sometimes I guess it's easy to overlook the obvious when someone has rattled our cage Sooz, but that's when the facts need to be brought out and polished up all shiny, bit like my mum's old brass ornaments.
Nice shiny facts, just like the KU investigation.
Tis lovely to see. Lol.
I agree with that Sooz, it will fall and rise, nothing we can do, but Kurt could clarify the point about whether UNESCO will have to be involved as being either true, or merely idle gossip. It will continue to impact on the sp detrimentally if nothing is said. We don't really want to see this tanking if it's completely unwarranted. Lol.
Luckily we are hardy, foolhardy too perhaps, but we certainly have the right clothes, depending on the weather.
Cable knit dreams. Lol. xx
Eric...That's exactly right, we're overlooking the fact that this shifty performance is being brought to light by the KU, should we be surprised at what turns up, No. On we go...as you say, it's going to be big.
I agree about Baylan, he's a shifty bleeder, who will most likely be replaced by another shifty bleeder, but the fact is that the KU is investigating the handling of our application by the Government, it has come to that, because our case can no longer be hidden away under dust piles on a Government desk, away from the spotlight.
There are big things at stake here.
In my opinion only. Lol.
It was pretty good salvage for you FarEnd... wish I'd been able to buy at 1.65p, my cheapest buy was 2p and I've still got every one. I'll see this through if I'm the last man standing. :-)
"We've weathered worse storms than this".
We sure have Suzy, I was just going through some old investments and came across this.
Seems on the 2nd June 2015 I bought 250k @ the grand price of 1.65 pence, now that must have been a bad storm.
Alamal....We've weathered worse storms than this.
It might steady the ship before it sinks,
Do you really believe Budge has anything to say in a statement?
I don’t believe he knows any more than long term investors.
A statement wont change anything, if it's going to drop nothing will stop it....if everything's OK it will go back up again. You have two choices.
I don’t think anybody is interested in BEM ,the share price is now dropping daily and people are grasping at straws, we need a statement from Kurt urgently, like tomorrow, otherwise it will be 4p soon,
It’s all about Baylan getting through to the next election unscathed and untainted by any hint of political conflict ready for his next ministerial role. Spinning it out until then will be a piece of cake.
Then another ministerial clone will appear with his mission statement to take the country forward. He / she will then proceed to do........nothing.
Lb, we've been through this before re the indirect impact. Bare bones is that we've supplied more than enough information for the concession to be awarded. Top legal eagles on our behalf have certified as much. Our application is absolutely sound. UNESCO should not be involved at this late stage, they don't make the concession decision, but if our case is referred to them to satisfy any KU recommendations to assist the Government in doing its own flippin' job, then so be it. The can kicking will end now that the Government is under scrutiny.
Only my view.
When it was determined by the agencies that there would be no direct impact on Laponia, resulting from our proposals, they then whistled-up some BS indirect. We all know, if you play others games, then indirect, would quickly become direct! Imo only. atb
That is not quite the issue though.
The indirect impact on Laponia from a mine at Kallak was left unresolved as the impact was not / could not be defined and quantified.
That’s enough of an excuse for the Swedes. They have a limitless dossier of “ complex issues “ don’t forget. This is just one of them.
He did resolve it in as much as such a thing can ever be resolved...it is for the Government to decide on the balance; a cultural benefit (how many words there are for snow was the example given of an indirect cultural effect) and the prosperity of the people in Jokkmokk, those who don't herd reindeer, which is most of them. And the Government are working on these matters, we've seen reports of such committees recently. That isn't an apology by the way, it's the facts as I know them.
