Can’t be long before their gone surely 👏
The Chinese are definitely the deal maker with GoB.
Sit back, relax. Buy more if the price gets silly.
Power China are an arm of the government, in 2023 it was 105th among Fortune Global 500 companies - couldn’t ask for a bigger/better player!
What they’re doing with Phulbari they’ve already done before with the Barisal coal fired power station (investment, construction & operation) among other projects like wind farms etc.
I agree the funding contract is a stipulation to approval ensuring cash is readily available….there’s no reason to put it out otherwise and PC don’t sign contracts for the sake of it. Sit on your hands now, we’re at the end game!
** Established in 2009, PowerChina's main business includes infrastructure engineering and the construction and design of energy and power projects. It inked deals worth over CNY1.1 trillion (USD152.4 billion) last year, a 13.2 percent increase on the prior year.
Agree NewboF; it signalled a determination of China to arm twist GoB into behaving with some purpose and things have moved on apace since then, mainly due to their dire straits but Phulbari being the low hanging fruit for addressing problems of finance. Tang in the background knows what he is doing also.
.... Bangla - are you not a fan of Harry & Paul - the 'hey diddle diddle' is part of their culture' and stealing their own coal makes me laugh even now, just thinking about it...........
Three scousers;

I think stealing is their social security system. Chopping hands off thankfully a thing of the past.
Trust me, I agree to some extent and it’s definitely positive.
But playing devil’s advocate, this is just one of the many things they HAVE to have in place to give the GoB every opportunity to say yes. It’s just part of the proposal rather than indicative of guaranteed success.
I dont agree with the rationale that they wouldn’t have gone ahead with it unless they know already - they’ve only hashed out a contract, not actually done anything yet
Henrytheeighth you haven’t answered my question, what three scousers are you referring too ??
I have green boxed Professional as he does not engage with research which would distract a trade but do think he is a competent trader so for that perspective I have his profile as a favourite so I can refer to his wisdom. It is a good method for referring to green boxes if you want to.
It doesn't really make sense for them to announce this without being very confident of getting the approval
We can see all the press and the importance of this coal power being approved and accessed. This is what India are oding and its a huge success.
China Power no doubt have connections in the government, so i think they know
Ig 16 month funding is almost irrelevant.
Yes it means no more fundraise without positive news BUT
If good news doesnt come SOON ( decide yourself what is SOON) SP will start to slip further.
People in profit will start to sell followed by people limitting losses. Simple.
As without news this is basically worth the cash it has or 2 mln...
Basically nothing to report untill Hasina Speaks. Measnwhile we keep trading! Cheers
Alot of PR circling from the region which is positive. There must be a reason it is quiet here in UK, don't want to rock the boat
Think we could see some fireworks very soon. Consolidated well in this 6.5p-7p region
Funded for next 16 months don't forget
Sorry mistyped meant to say "Dream big to win Big"
Considering this Saga has been going on for over 20 years and the fact the SP at it's highs was over £9 and now it's about 7p. I truly think we need to give a TANG some credit here. If this was anyone else most likely they would have crumbled under the pressure and closed shop by now
Thanks TANG for keeping the lights on and keeping the Dream alive
Wich comes to Mind "Deeam big to Win big"
What 3 scousers?
Excellent article, excellent photo - that's the way to mine coal and India appears to have got it off to a tee.
As for the Bunglas, they stole 147,000 tonnes of their own coal - bit like the three Scousers while Hasina fretted about her latest Amazon online sari and would it 'let out' where it was a bit tight.....I am sure they can find one seamstress amongst all the girls who are idle at thee moment....
They can't stay silent indefinitely, I think we should get some news very soon that Hasina and her colleagues will have accepted the proposal as there is no other alternative for Bangladesh at this point.
Looking forward to May 2024 for a very proliferative outlook.
It’ll come out eventually searcher. Obviously whatever was said was controversial otherwise they wouldn’t be as tight lipped.
Only 6 years ago - hahaha
"Despite the high-profile meetings, officials were tight-lipped about the discussions. "Right at this moment it's really tough to comment on the issues discussed in the meeting," Rahman told UNB,"
NOW WHY WOULD THIS MEETING GO ON BEHIND CLOSED DOORS!!!!!
"The meetings centred around the pressing financial challenges in the country’s power and energy sectors, remained closed to the media"

Shagged, I obviously disagree with you and believe that it is very very close now … I don't believe that you can just take into consideration the after hour trades, if we did that, we would still be getting rid of the last placing stock lol ….. but rather than going over it all again, lets just agree to disagree mate… as you say we will soon know, because we will be let loose on very little buying…. Also, on Level 2 we will see the MM who I believe has been selling the stock, take a step back
'6.81 1,225,000 Unknown*. 83.42k'
It would take 24 X this amount (83.42k) to clear 2m quid. Add all the big sales up you've seen similar to this since the fund raise and what do you get?
First one was for 4.5m shares. Let's be generous and call that another 4 x of the 24 needed. So now we're at 5 of the 24 x needed. I can only remember approx another 5 at most similar such sales so I'm at a total of 10 x of the 24 x needed. Let's be generous and call it 12 which would make us halfway through.
Still only halfway through the churn, mainly due to not enough people buying to allow the seller to exit at a price they need to.
Others think differently, that's fine. We'll all know when it's done because the share price will be quickly up above 10p again with a little sustained buying.
And still no TR1. If it was just investing that is ok but if accumulation requiring future tr1 with an explanation then you cannot just say subs shares are all gone. Correct me if wrong but eg a takeover does not have to announce itself until 30% is exceeded. We have had big volume?
