Virgil's "beware the Greeks bearing gifts" will need to be amended to "beware old timers bearing grudges".
Prosciutto tomorrow...
Must have been a bit of a blow for you RoJo when Roger and Crusty seem to have sorted out the mystery of the AGM date ! You had hoped it wouldn’t even be held. Anyway, at least you have now pinned your unequivocal opinions up there - no if’s, no but’s, the SP will fall and delays could be up to five years ! It’s there for all to read. There is now another fascinating angle to think about. The return of Wentworth with Mick 2020. Could it be Mick is in fact your Messiah ? He always felt Aminex was poaching on Wentworth’s Tanzanian assets and was very anti Brian Hall. This would explain his vendetta against AEX. What other reason does he have for posting on our chat board using his time which after all still costs money ? As for you, clever old RJ, you continue with the sardonic stuff with now and then a canny line or two rowing back on your views ! You've got them there, just in case, yes ?
FYI - no reply to my email yesterday to AEX questioning the AGM notice (lack of). Do they never answer emails or are they on a blackout?.
Something that must be coming soon. Only 47 working days left.
'APT has also submitted a near final Field Development Plan to the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation which, upon approval, will lead to the issuance of a Development Licence for the Ntorya field'
'we expect to sign a Gas Sales Agreement and obtain a Development Licence for the Ntorya Area, securing the long-term development of Ruvuma imminently.'
Ruvuma
OPERATOR: ARA Petroleum Tanzania Limited – 50% interest
License Expire Date: 15th August 2023

OK. Now I remember this. Thanks for the memory jog.
'The full 3D seismic results will be available by mid-2023 and will permit a thorough revision of the gas reserve and resource potential for the field later in the year.'
StockCheque - if you're not a robot, are you JollyJoke's brother ?
A full revision of gas reserves does not mean an increase !
A reduction is just as likely.
Let's wait and see what Prosciutto thinks eh ?
He knows more about this than anyone, with the possible exception of CrustyPete
But JollyJoke, of course you won't.
...or have you begun to realise that first gas in October is about as likely as snow in UK in August ?
In which case, its about time that you came clean and admitted that your optimism has been nonsense and misleading to say the least.
...but JollyJoke ?
Aren't we expecting first gas to market this October ?
The more I think about it, the more obvious it is that East Africa is not the best place to invest !
Nobody was suggesting he'd fallen off a cliff !
Get a grip Tanz !
Haggis has mercifully ceased to post on LSE. We don't know if he has been banned here. (some would say he should be).
But that does not mean he'll be banned on ADVFN as well does it ?
Aimster, you said Haggis was a gonna but he's appeared over on ADVN. That's not the only bit of wonky information you've fallen for by !
As it says, we won't know until later in the year following revision of the data. Judging by the speed of the data processing, I wouldn't hold out much chance of that coming before September/October.
On a positive note that should come in time for my speculated CH1 drill in November/December. That might (MIGHT) just allow time to contract the rig for some (dont laugh) back to back drilling, done with much more confidence as they did speak of further drills in 2024
Logically the timing works, but only time will tell. A few choice questions at the AGM may reveal more.
How much now? 9TCF? 10TCF? More? RNS before the AGM?
May 2021
APT
8.236 TCF
Estimated gross unrisked Mean GIIP
'The full 3D seismic results will be available by mid-year and will permit a full revision of gas reserve and resource potential for the field.'
No, for AMINEX, that's much to simple. Lol : )
AGM notification last minute dot com. Makes no sense to hold back the notification. The AGM has to take place by 1 July whether they announce the AGM a month ago or on Friday. Surely not difficult to just pick 30 June and announce it.
Thanks for sorting. RNS by Friday it is then.
Phew ! Clarity at last, thank you Roger, and Crusty as well.
Thanks Crusty. I've gone a little further to the proposed M&A amendments April 27 2017 prior to May AGM 2017
The following is on page 75 and appears if I am not mistaken, as you indicated 14 days may be allowed. As shareholders accepted the amendments, I would think that may cover it? On that basis this coming Friday would be deadline day. It seems we are chasing our tails doing the Harlem shuffle trying to understand the regs on this.
"PART 12
NOTICE OF GENERAL MEETINGS
57. 59.
(a) Subject to the provisions of the Acts allowing a general meeting to be called by shorter
notice, an annual general meeting and a meeting called for the passing of a special
resolution shall be called by 21 days’ notice in writing at the least and a general meeting
of the Company (other than an annual general meeting or a general meeting called for
the passing of a special resolution) shall, subject to compliance with the Acts, be called by
at least 14 days’ notice."

Thanks Crusty, though still begs the question, why this AGM as apposed to (as far as I can see) all others, that's in need a shorter notice.
Apologies one and all I was wrong the Special Resolution was at the AGM of 2017 (19th May) in which there were a series of votes and one was to give the BoD the right to call General Meetings at 14 days notice (though as someone said below that is working days and with sufficient time to allow for post).
Note the proxy form from that date.

All of that is true StockCheque unless agreed by shareholders via a special resolution at an AGM at which point it can be reduced.
Messaged the shareholder link on the website to ask last week but have not received a reply
'A public company must call an AGM each year within the period of six months starting on the day after its accounting reference date. Detailed requirements as regards the convening and holding of an AGM are set out in the Companies Act 2006 (CA 2006).'
"The Act states that the notice period for an AGM is 21 days’ notice, although 21 clear days’ notice is implied and it’s this interpretation which we use. According to the Act the period of notice is defined as the day on which the notice is given, not deemed received."
20 days left under AIM rules.
In Ireland.
'Chapter 6, Part 4 of the Companies Act 2014 deals with General Meetings and Resolutions. A company is required to hold an Annual General Meeting in each year under section 175, which no more than 15 months elapsing between AGMs. A company is still required to hold an AGM within 18 months of its incorporation.'
Anyone emailed AEX to query the AGM notice?
