Print worse than consensus. BBC headline 'Damon says rates could rise to 8%'. VOD down. It's how it goes is all I am saying. I don't think they will, but it helps you understand why VOD is down.
Juste hade mye cornflakes and god told me to wait for the CPI report before bying any fing.
6 minutes away at this tyme.
The prediction is 4.5c paid in August this year, then 2.25c in Feb, & 2.25c in Aug next year. To be confirmed. Divi max however is predicting no reduction in the divi next year, but I am sure they are wrong. It looks like a rising share price is the only way we will make money on vod as the divi is less than you can get in a savings account.
"Jamie Dimon is running around telling folk rates will go to 8%"
you do talk rubbish mole_man99...TOTALLY misleading
Dimon said that " JPMorgan had plans for interest rates going above 8 per cent and as low as 2 per cent "
Dimon said that " large amounts of government deficit spending and past stimulus "may" lead to stickier inflation and higher rates than markets expect"
He DID NOT SAY that rate will go to 8%
Unfortunately world not out the woods yet even if print is ok. Jamie Dimon is running around telling folk rates will go to 8%. Whether you agree or not, big money listens to him and will position accordingly.
We’ll all have to wait for inflation to turn negative before banks start reducing rates, too late of course but that is how it works. Reactionary not preemptive.
2026 looking good.
god help us today if the usa cpi data is ****, we will be back below 65p.
Eccles04, this site is good if you just invest in shares, I like hl because i'm 50% in funds
What are you doing using HL when this outfit gives better value?
Robleo, maybe it was HL's 1 yr projection haha
UnluckyInvestor9, you normally have to be invested here a little longer than 1 day, before you're shares are worthless
sorry guys i couldn't resist that one
Funny I just logged in to my HL account and Vod is there but says cannot be traded and my Vod shares have no worth. Almost got a heart attack 😅

" Assume XD on 6 June is for the usual 4.5c. "
yes - " the Board's intention is to maintain the final FY24 dividend in line with the prior year at 4.5c per share"
"So, what will the divi be on the next XD 21 Nov please? "
well the target ...is 4.5 Euro Cents for the whole year FY25 , so if they keep 50:50 with interim and final then it would be 2.25 Euro Cents - "The Board is targeting a dividend of 4.5c per share for FY25, with an ambition to grow it over time"
..but the actual amount will be declared after H1 Results
The last presentation says “FY24 total ordinary dividend expected to be maintained at 9.0c per share and ordinary dividend to be rebased to 4.5c per share from FY25 onwards”. As jesteh pointed out, that means that the next dividend should still be 4.5c.
Fleecy a waste of aire, theys ain't gonna have one dibidend per year are they know.
Glade he have filltered me the dumb wafle c
It depends on how they decide to distribute the dividends going forward, if they decide to move to one payout per year, they might leave the next payout until the Final which would mean no further payouts in the current Financial Year. If they decide to split the dividend, along current lines, then there'll be an interim payout around next February.
This is not correct. Vodafone has already confirmed they will maintain the final dividend payment of 4.5c for June 2024. This is the final dividend payment for 2023/24. They will formally announce this in May.
Thankyou Mole,
So 2.25c i guess.....
The div is now cut as VOD are now in their 2025 financial year.
Please can someone just confirm to me when the divi gets chopped. Assume XD on 6 June is for the usual 4.5c. So, what will the divi be on the next XD 21 Nov please?
Many thanks
Davef24, odd you should be negative on VOD, you are normally so upbeat and positive.....oh no wait, thats right you never have a single positive post on VOD...
By the way on Feb 9th you posted: "if vod is so cheap why the **** are the directors not buying? she's destroyed vod, she needs sacking asap"....
since then two directors have made sizable purchase.......has not improved your attitude on this share though.....these directors purchases alone fill me with positivity for the future.
This share is the worse stock on the UK Market. What a dog
Rob I think the buy backs are very good, but it is not a one way bet. As has been said before, if vod buy back shares at a low price & they go up that is obviously good, But that does not mean that it is good for the sp to stay low. This is basic common sense maths which may be sorely missed by many on here in there modern world, without there age related problems?!? sorry but
(I don't do this L.O.L. D.Y.O.R. .crap,) Just laugh & be happy, please.
