Argus,
Very true indeed, hidden agendas, so very obvious.
Respect only to those that do own research and cite relevant documents, and then come up with valid arguments, but sadly so far are lacking in sufficient detail.
JiffyBag, many of those not looking at the real information before posting here have no interest in the facts, but are deliberately trying to cause confusion, disruption and mislead others for their own purposes.
Surprising how many of these posters opinions match so closely with those of TW and adapt to his latest website statements.
Too many 'Armchair Experts' , many of whom fail to do any research into the documentation that is already out there before coming on here with their theories.
Theories for that is what they are, but they are not at the actual coalface and that is the issue.
If you dont like share move on shut the fucxk up buy in some where else and give them your so called wisdom and leave this bb alone...pester another with your "wisdom"
They may think the near wellbore formation is suffering from either drilling muds (some skin damage), or that the formation has actually plugged off at the perforations and is limiting inflow to the wellbore. So simply go in and hot it with deep penetration guns again and blow more holes to hopefully access the cleaner formation behind. But i think this maybe deja vu - just blow the thing away with perfs - big guns. Sarir - what the hell do i know - i am not an oiler or a photographer.
Careful folks, I think Newchurch is back in disguise :)
You don't need to test the Portland they could bypass it no problem at all.
Cindy, you need to test the portland before you can test the kims. You work from the top down. Portland being the top, kim 3 the bottom.
So if that's the case why not go stright for the kim? Why even test the Portland.. the Portland is the base, if you get the base correct then you can build the house. They need the Portland it's the backbone of the opparation.
Thats right. The portland was the easy target, the safe bet, the 75% risk adverse layer on which the CPR was produced.
This is now a formality to becomming commercial. The kims are the jewel in the crown.
For me im not bothered about the portland as we know it flows across the basin.
Get those kims right and its a bumper payday.
For me, the risk is being ticked off, albeit slowly.
I agree LEJ, there not going to move on to the Kim until they’ve proven the Portland
Oakleak Hopefully you won’t be waiting to long. Atb
This well is the test well so all three zones will be tested.
Only when fully successful will they move onto the 2nd well.
That is the plan as defined in the rns's.
Rhino, agree that more holes for more flow is the most plausible reason, from what we have been told the Portland is performing better than expected. Also agree on comments re Dorking. To be fair to him he's tried to explain his rational and having held thru BB I know all too well that bringing oil to the surface is a risky business. Btw I have no experience in oil, a chemical engineer interview at Fawley is as close as I've got. I wait for official news like everyone else. GL.
There focusing on the Portland, why waste time when they can get the site operational with the Portland! They have used the perf to get a bigger flow rate from the Portland. There is no way there going to test the kim with this well. Portland up and running! Then kim tested with a second well in the future and on and on. It makes no sense to move on when this could pay the bills and get the site up and running. And that's hopefully what is going on. IMO
I dont buy that. Perforating is the final stage which has already been done.
They will not interfere with a free flowing record breaking layer.
Clue in the bigger pump with greater capacity.
pokerock - I’m personally happy with what the guys have reported, people got excited when they produced photos of tankers arriving, the speed of the pump, even close ups of the tank levels and position of the valves, but we have been informed in a Ifficial RNS that a bigger pump is required and that is what will be installed soon, all the activities prior to the pump being installed are not easy to catch on a camera, especially the distance the lads have to take them from, news will be very soon IMO
Oakleak More holes for flow. Also those attacking dorkingman should maybe sit back and listen, I can tell you have experience in the oil game some of what your saying is correct some is not ( the bit about the Portland)
dorkingman and you know nothing more than the rest of us because you are not on site and not privy to ANY information apart from the RNS like the rest of us. You don't know what they are perfing, what needs it, what doesn't, you make yourself out to be an expert when it is blatantly obvious you are nothing of the sort. Already I can see on this BB "oilers" with so much more obvious knowledge than you. seems like your credibility up and now you bring your supposed family into it, really?
Pokerock,
The eyes have not gone silent, don’t you follower them on twitter?
Lots and lots of reports of work going on, how do you think people know about the pump being taken off the well, perf gun arriving on site, Wireline operations etc etc
Rhino I'm with you on this. As maximum initial rates were restricted by the pump's capacity of around 470 bopd, a larger capacity pump has been sourced and has been mobilised to site for possible use during the remainder of the Portland test sequence. High rate test was scheduled for the start of the first of 3 Portland trsts. Far too early to be moving from the Portland, but why the perf guns? 1 million $$ question. Trying out different perf configurations for effectiveness? Opening up more holes for more flow? Remedial work ?
i understand how this works. I am in this share with my family. I have given you my thoughts. If i had given my overtly positive thoughts , you would welcome me with open arms. I remember Broadford Bridge and I remember the huge push to believe the hype. It was the same guys and it did not turn out well. I think the Angus guys drilled HH and they drilled it perfectly. All I am saying is we do not need to perf the remaining section of Portland - it will not bring any more than the results already reported from the very short testing period we have got from the rns. They are not spectacular as they are over a very very short period. The target is still the Kim, and more than one oiler is interested in this primary target as it might prove the Weald connectivity.
For the record my family have between them , 6.5m. I have told them to hold, buy or sell at their leisure. I do not have the answers but i am sceptical about major perforation of the portland. Over to the photographers who know nothing or little about the reality of this formation.
On the zone that every time it has been tested has exceeded expectations.
27th June 3 days Portland commenced
1st - 31st July 31 days
1st - 15th August 15 days????
50 days.
pokerrock if you had been keeping up you would know there has been plenty on twitter this evening and indeed on here sigh.........
