GLATHH
6th June 2024 Ex Div
https://www.nationalgrid.com/investors/events/event-calendar
Last years 2023 date was 01/06.
This does not mean that it will def be the same date
Whats happening here ?
There is still no official Ex Div date declared that i can find
Time to top up I think
Less chance of telecoms being nationalised?
Is this news the reason for the sp drop? Potential dent in profits/dividend?
So, the p/e comes from last years EPS which was very close to 210p if my memory serves me right.
Know so as I am heavily invested in this and have been since 2006.
As the last 2yrs energy companies have had record profits this is how it spiked.
This year is expected to be down in a moderate level of 65-70p range most analysts have and 2025 to be 70-74p.

I don't know where this site gets the P/E from.
Looking at the 2022/2023 Statement, the first page shows EPS 74.2
Looking at the 2023/2024 Statement for the half year, the first page shows EPS 28.4
So P/E around 14 for 2022/23 & around 18 for the half year (for SP 1034)
So not such good value - unless you have additional info !
P/E < 5. If that isn't good value for a steady earner which has a total monopoly I don't what is.
Just in case you missed it :-
Jefferies raises National Grid to 'buy' (hold) - price target 1,330 (1,000) pence
That seems a possibility based on the past and as we run up to June.
At least for many it's a potential buy and forget share.
Next target is 1141p
The RSI has been sat between 60-69 the last 4hrs.
This is a BUY at these levels 1067-68p
Utilities and telecoms look a safe bet, BUT if we do get a continued rally these stocks along with pharma will undoubtedly underperform.
I held both SSE & NG, but sold SSE this week.
Im hoping for a The SP to carry on rising up to the interim div payment in Jan and to continue to rise up until the Final results in mid May.
Just my Opinions.

How much further can this SP go ? its been a great advance since since Oct 4th . I sold some during the rally for a nice profit and still hold quite a lot.

Thank you for the reply π mind you, hopefully, that's a small amount in comparison to the size of the company π I just couldn't work out the columns π I'll study it now. Thanks again ππ
