Sold my other half of ald and into VM at 287

VM is a good shout, plenty of potential upside. Severfield has too, with brokers rating in range of 80 - 95.
Had a look at severfield . But putting 30% of profits for a gamble on SDX Energy. This is my way of using profit for a risky punt The rest will probably go into VM Good Luke
Offer @ £3.13 is not enough. Broker rating almost that. Fantastic growth / Return. I would rather they keep building the business for at least another three years before an offer ilia accepted. Bought ALD post brexit for £1.2 per share. Happy to hold and not sell. GLA, Ady
I've sold my holdings, purely to take the short term profit. Next one to watch is Severfield, not for a takeover but as it's so undervalued and was oversold a while back.
I have been hinted this in my posts for the past 9 months
Well following my post on 28th July about a likely takeover I didn't have to wait too long. A nice 40% rise. VM Next?
I've been in these situations before, Myself have decided to sell half my holdings and I will increase my holdings in VM . This is only my way of thinking . Please make your own mind up

Well im out and happy still feel its probably worth a bit more......but very happy with my profit.....Virgin next challenger bank to be taken? probably not but still feel thats a great investment.....GLA
Indeed! So forgive the newb question, but what does this mean for shareholders? Will we have to vote on whether to accept? If it gets taken over does that mean we sell all our shares or we get shares in the acquiring company? I only have a small holding here, have a small capital gain on what I paid so far but not sure what the end result could be
Result! RNS on potential take over at 313p per share....
Quarter 3 results out November 9th, possible maiden dividend
Compass - There was a spike after the excellent results back in August, but it is now some weeks later and ALD has suddenly started to leap. I suspect your latter option is the case.
Ald is moving the same as Shawbrook before the offer came in to buy them Only my Opinion
I did say very strong buy.....those results were fantastic......still dont know why more notice wasnt taken of them......or is there a buyer in the wings?
Good upward movement this month. Looks as though the market is re-rating this share - or is something else going on here?
Based on the recent results ,this is very undervalued. But then again, there have been many examples recently of companies coming up with very decent results and yet their sp comes down 10 15% in the aftermath. Very tricky times for investors really. In the banking sector, VM and ALD are really undervalued now!
That was a fantastic RNS fully expect a nice rise today........Very Strong Buy
Ive been watching the challenger banks lately and i like Aldermore just got in at 221 and feel they offer better value than the big 5 im also in Virgin Money.

Quadrupled my holding here today getting in at 222.65 with all the money that I got following the takeover of Shawbrook. With Shawbrook, (also a Challenger bank) having been gobbled up, I wouldn't be surprised if this one is next. I got 340p per Shawbrook Share and would be quite happy with a similar takeover figure here.
Bought some for the sipp
Unbelievably cheap at this price Strong Buy!
