Suggests no one is really watching this they either have a stop loss or buy at setting on the share.
Morning. Basically positive I agree the post brexit drop is a massive over reaction and think this will correct, reasonably quickly, so a good investment. That said the price has risen and fallen again on the same day a couple of times so I,m confused. What looks like the recovery has started and stopped ( or reversed in large part ) a couple of times, although it seems to me the trend is very positive currently.
John2015, I`m not sure how to read your posts...whether you`re pointing towards positivity or negativity? You say in your title `Is this why the price fell Fri`? But then point to Morgan Stanley acquiring a financial instrument giving the rights to acquire/exercise shares equating to 6% of voting rights. And conclude with `Moves afoot`? Personally I think the drop back from the high on Fri was due to the traders not wanting to be `in` over the bank holiday, and the then due Janet Yellen speech from Jackson Hole that night UK time. To me, the strong recent move with high volume suggests a move to close the post brexit gap at just over 200p. The predicted disaster post brexit doesn`t seem to be playing out as bad as some thought, for some stocks, and the fact that this is a `challenger bank`...which I love the sound of....seems to be helping with the recovery from the oversold fallout. The latest move up off the `double bottom` at 130p ish has been driven by massive volume, the last three days have a total volume of c19m shares traded in comparison to the 50 day volume average of 1.86m!!! Which includes the last three days obviously. I would be surprised if the buying didn`t resume tomorrow following the `wait and see` (as usual) speech by Mrs Yellen.
See RNS below Morgan Stanley acquire financial instrument giving the rights to acquire/exercise shares equating to 6% of voting rights. Moves afoot ?

The Brexit drop was probably overdone and hopefully there will now be a sensible correction.
The whole sector is recovering from Brexit that's main reason plus ALD had good results on the 11th Aug and Onesavings beat market expectations y/d.
More good progress towards a recovery here no news as to what's behind this weeks good rises ? GLA
http://www.sharecast.com/news/aldermore-shawbrook-upgraded-by-bofa-ml/24868575.html Seems like they think that the UK gov could help... "We think some changes to stamp duty could be one logical shift in policy, which would help the property market and increase mortgage lending. The challengers would benefit most, we think." Nowonder there was huge volume yesterday and up again today, glad I bought. Lets see what Janet Yelland has to say about interest rates later.
PE of 6 and valuation of 1x book value I believe.... Must be very vulnerable to a take over ? Anyone see TSB showing interest again ?
Recoverying well
Cheers ArticFox.
Doesn't look like one massive trade the price dropped from a high 139p over a 3-4 hour period. Have a look at the intraday chart
How come there is one massive trade, not reported at the time, that wiped out the days rise ?
6.5p ? What's that all about - can't find anything to explain this so is it just spreadbets.
Could this be new bottom
Can't see a takeover below £3.00. That would still be well below market PE..
All I can find is a news story from Feb 2015 regarding a potential takeover from TSB. https://www.ft.com/content/36582414-b674-11e4-95dc-00144feab7de
Have you got link for this news? Couldn't find anything in Google search.
it said in the paper about a possible takeover / merger here. anyone got any thought if this could happen?
I say the same every time ?? If there doing so well,!! why don't they pay something to us long standing shareholders.GLA
Why no dividend?
£131k says looking good to me
Just topped up here but had to do it in 2 tranches. Think this is a good LT hold. GLA
