The award is tobe presented on Sunday 20th April 2008 by German Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel asthe opening highlight of the Hannover Fair, the world's largest industrialexhibition. The Hermes Award is recognised as one of the most generous industrial technologyawards as the winning company receives a €100,000 prize. Last year, the Awardwas presented for an innovative identification technology to Bayer TechnologyServices, a division of Bayer AG, the multinational chemical and pharmaceuticalcompany, jointly with London-based Ingenia Technology Limited. The coveted international prize is awarded for the most outstanding newtechnical product that has been thoroughly tested on an industrial scale and inaddition demonstrates substantial commercial benefit. Zenergy, in conjunctionwith its collaborative manufacturer Bultmann GmbH, was nominated for itsrevolutionary HTS induction heater. The HTS induction heater is twice asefficient as conventional technology whilst offering customers significanttechnical advantages. The Group recently announced its second commercial orderfor its HTS induction Heater.
