Transaction in own shares

EPE Special Opportunities plc (the "Company") announces that, on 28 June 2013, it purchased a total of 10,000 shares of 5 pence each ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 66.25 pence per share. The Ordinary Shares were purchased by a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, Corvina Limited. The repurchased Ordinary Shares may be held and resold as if they were Treasury Shares.

The number of Ordinary Shares in issue following the above and the figure to be used as the denominator for calculations of interests in the Company's voting rights is 27,831,192 Ordinary Shares.
