Local Shopping REIT plc ("the Company") - Transactions in Own Shares

Local Shopping REIT PLC announces that on 2 July 2008 it cancelled 7,528,750 ordinary shares held in treasury.

The Company further announces that on 2 July 2008 it purchased from JPMorgan Cazenove Limited 9,405,187 ordinary shares at a price of 65 pence per share. 9,284,317 of the purchased shares will be held as treasury shares, 120,870 of the purchased shares were cancelled. 

Following the above cancellations and purchase, the Company holds 9,284,317 ordinary shares in treasury and has 83,558,853 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
