Morgan Crucible Co PLC08 January 2008 The Morgan Crucible Company plc announces that on 8 January 2008 it purchasedfor cancellation from JPMorgan Cazenove Limited 150,000 ordinary shares at anaverage price of 194.2833 pence per share. Accordingly, upon settlement of the above transaction, The Morgan CrucibleCompany plc's capital will consist of 275,764,074 25p ordinary shares withvoting rights, and 437,281 cumulative preference shares (125,327 5.5% cumulativefirst preference shares of £1.00 each and 311,954 5% cumulative secondpreference shares of £1.00 each), with no voting rights, save in specifiedlimited circumstances.
