The Local Shopping REIT plc ("the Company") - Transactions in Own Shares

The Local Shopping REIT plc announces that on 7 July 2008 it cancelled 498,300 ordinary

shares held in treasury.

The Company further announces that on 7 July 2008 it purchased from JPMorgan Cazenove

Limited 453,000 ordinary shares at a price of 60 pence per share.  All of the purchased shares will

be held as treasury shares.

Following the above cancellation and purchase, The Local Shopping REIT plc holds 9,239,017

ordinary shares in treasury and has 83,151,153 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury

shares).
