MicroEmissive Displays Group PLC09 August 2005 9 August 2005 MicroEmissive Displays Group plc MicroEmissive Displays Group plc ("MED") announces that it has today noted fromthe electronic edition of the Nikkei newspaper that NHJ, a Japanese consumerelectronics company, filed for semi-voluntary bankruptcy in the Tokyo districtcourts on 8 August 2005. It was disclosed in MED's AIM admission document dated23 November 2004, that the MED Group had received a purchase order for 5,000microdisplay modules from NHJ. In MED's results for the year to 31 December2004, it was further noted that the first customer application for MED'smicrodisplay is in an ultra-compact USB-enabled Digital Still Camera to beintroduced by NHJ. Further customer orders have since been received. As announced on 3 June 2005, MED plans to ship product in Q4 2005. MED iscurrently in discussion with a number of potential customers the demand fromwhom is expected to exceed the capacity of MED's in house pilot manufacturingfacility in Edinburgh. As it seeks to clarify the position with NHJ, MED has taken immediate steps toadvise customers of a potential increase in scheduled product allocations.
