Statement re Evander Wage Negotiations

Pan African Resources PLC (Incorporated and registered in England and Wales under Companies Act 1985 withregistered number 3937466 on 25 February 2000) AIM Code: PAF JSE Code: PAN ISIN: GB0004300496 ("Pan African" or "the Company") PAN AFRICAN SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDES WAGE NEGOTIATIONS AT ITS EVANDER OPERATION Pan African shareholders are hereby informed that the Company has, under theauspices of the Chamber of Mines, successfully concluded a two year agreementwith the National Union of Mineworkers ("NUM") and the United Association ofSouth Africa ("UASA") on wages and other conditions of employment for employeesat its Evander Gold Mines Limited operation ("Evander") for the financial yearsending 30 June 2014 and 2015. The average Evander wage bill increase for these two years will amount toapproximately 8% per annum for both unions and is effective from 1 July 2013. At Pan African's Barberton Mines (Pty) Limited operation, which is not part ofthe Chamber of Mines, negotiations regarding wages and other conditions ofemployment with NUM and UASA are ongoing.
