Amphion Innovations plc Partner Company, DataTern, Signs
Third IP License Agreement
London and New York, 27 November 2008 – Amphion Innovations plc (LSE: AMP) (“Amphion”), today announces that DataTern, Inc., has signed a non-exclusive license for its key ObjectSpark™ database patents with one of the top ten commercial banks in the world. This is the third deal since DataTern commenced licensing of this product in June 2008. The terms of the license agreement are in line with management’s expectations about the value and breadth of this technology.
Joseph Flicek, DataTern's Chief Executive Officer, said, "Following the license agreements with RedHat and VISA, this third license, signed with another leading financial institution, reinforces the strength of DataTern's technology licensing programme. We are currently in active discussions with another ten major corporations and we are looking forward to a further rollout of our licensing programme in the coming months."
DataTern, Inc., wholly owned by Amphion Innovations plc, was established in order to commercialize selected intellectual property opportunities in partnership with Amphion's Partner Companies.
