The Company was informed on 27 September 2013 that Peter Backhouse, Non-Executive Director, purchased, in London, 3,500 ordinary shares of 25p each in the Company at a price of GBP £22.62 per share.

Following this transaction, Peter Backhouse has a total interest of 3,500 shares in Clarkson PLC representing 0.018% of the Company's issued share capital.
