Correction: AGM and Circular to Shareholders

31 October 2006themutual.net plc (the "Company")Annual general meeting ("AGM") and circular to shareholders: correctionFurther to the announcement of 25 October 2006 giving notice of the AGM of theCompany to be held on 1 December 2006, and the posting of a circular toshareholders (the "Circular") containing notice of the resolutions to beconsidered at the AGM (the "Notice"), the Company announces that, due to aclerical error, the nominal value of the Company's ordinary shares wasmis-stated in the Circular and the Notice as 0.0001p, whereas the nominal valueof each ordinary share of the Company is in fact ‚£0.0001. The resolution setout in the Notice to consolidate and sub-divide the ordinary shares of theCompany will therefore, if passed, create ordinary shares of ‚£0.0011 ratherthan 0.0011p as stated in the Circular and Notice, which will then besub-divided again into ordinary shares of ‚£0.0001. As this is a clerical error, no new Notice will be sent out, and the alterationof the resolution to consolidate and sub-divide the ordinary shares of theCompany will be effected by a motion passed at the AGM.
