Dairy Crest Group PLC29 May 2007 29 May 2007 Dairy Crest Group plc ("Dairy Crest")Clover product recall notice As widely reported in the media at the weekend Dairy Crest has initiated aproduct recall of Clover. The recall affects all sizes and all best before datesup until 10 August 2007. We have discovered that the product can develop an unpleasant taste before theend of its shelf life due to the development of a mould most commonly found inblue cheeses. The cause was an intermittent fault in the production process,which is now being addressed. No other products made by Dairy Crest are affected. Whilst it is too early to fully quantify the financial impact of this recall, weexpect the costs to be largely covered by the Company's insurance. The excessapplicable to the relevant policy is £1 million.
