Business Update

On 25 July 2008 Open Joint-Stock Company "NBK-Bank", a subsidiary company of Joint Stock Company 'Halyk Savings Bank of Kazakhstan' (Halyk Bank) (LSE: HSBK) which is headquartered in Chelyabinsk, Russia, registered its branch in Moscow, Russia. The opening of Moscow branch of OJSC "NBK-Bank" is in line with Halyk Bank's 2008-2010 previously announced strategy, according to which earlier this year Halyk Bank registered the banking subsidiary in Georgia and two non-banking subsidiaries in Mongolia and currently increasing its presence in Russia.
