ZOOΒ Digital GroupΒ plc
("ZOO" or "The Company")
Launch of Translation Management System ("TMS")
ZOOΒ Digital GroupΒ plcΒ is pleased to announce the launch of its Translation Management System (TMS),Β further expanding its suite of software for workflow automation within the digital media industry. The TMS works with ZOO'sΒ suite ofΒ media production andΒ adaptationΒ software and allows users toΒ enterΒ translations and legal information into an on-line database. This textual information isΒ processed using ZOO's integrated desktop toolsΒ andΒ applied toΒ multiple media,Β from DVD andΒ Blu-rayΒ menus to marketing collateral such asΒ posters and websites.
TheΒ TMSΒ provides further diversification for theΒ Company. The systemΒ providesΒ a productionΒ services-based offeringΒ whichΒ isΒ expectedΒ toΒ generate recurring feesΒ rather thanΒ one-off software licences,Β and has been designed in response toΒ theΒ needsΒ and requirementsΒ of ZOO's clients.Β The system incorporates a number of modules, including a dictionary of standard translations, as well asΒ the capability to 'learn phrases' as they are used in specific contexts.Β This eradicates the need for duplication, providing ZOO's clients with significant cost savings, alongside improved brand consistency and control.
Gordon Doran, Commercial Director,Β commented "The very nature of translation work requires multipleΒ operatorsΒ in several geographies.Β Using ourΒ onlineΒ systemΒ the regionalisation process is centralised,Β allowingΒ different departments withinΒ filmΒ and televisionΒ studiosΒ toΒ access and update projects at will,Β enabling technical services, legal, marketing and in-territory groups to collaborate efficiently.Β The online system has excellent management capabilities, so the progress ofΒ aΒ project can be monitored at any time."
With the addition ofΒ the TMS,Β ZOO can offer a turn-key solution to any client that requires localisation across multiple media.Β TheΒ combination ofΒ this system with the Company's desktop softwareΒ allowsΒ wider participationΒ in customer processes, deliveringΒ significant cumulative benefits.Β
Stuart Green, CEO concluded:Β "The TMS links all of our software tools with an intuitive interface, a radical rethink of the translation process and a way of managing data across a variety of platforms.Β Initial feedback from our clients has been extremely positive with evidence that the system, used in conjunction with our Media Adaptation Tool, optimises production processes and will deliver operational efficiencies that we expect will result in significant savings of time and cost for our customers."
