ViaLogy signs Strategic Agreement with Swan Island
Combined service will enhance incident awareness
PASADENA, 14 August, 2008 - ViaLogy PLC (LSE:VIY), the AiM quoted company that integrates information from IP-based sensor networks, announces a strategic partnership with Swan Island Networks Inc of Portland, Oregon, a recognised leader in the design and deployment of next-generation sensitive information systems.
The two companies will combine Vialogy's SPM™ (Sensor Policy Manager™) with TIES®, Swan Island Networks' innovative managed service offering, to create an intelligent sensor network. SPM will collect alert information from multiple networked sensors and instantly present it in a tailored, pre-determined way using the TIES® (Trusted Information Exchange Service) platform from Swan Island Networks. The process reduces to an integrated central screen the multiple displays that must now be monitored, reduces the number of human monitors that are now necessary, provides more immediate access to priority information, and results in quicker response time.
This capability introduces a powerful new tool to the physical security information management market. It provides an in-depth common operating picture (COP) in which sophisticated sensor data is correlated with geospatial information, breaking news feeds, open-source and proprietary data, alerts of all kinds, incident reports, points of interest, weather reports and forecasts, and more. Swan already has a substantial installed base of systems in place and hopes to incorporate SPM™ as a value-added service.
