Board Appointment

Wynnstay, the agricultural and retail group, is delighted to announce that Andrew Evans, General Manager of Wynnstay's Retail division, has been appointed to the Board as Retail Director with immediate effect.

Andrew, aged 39 years, joined Wynnstay in 1996, initially as Marketing Manager before subsequently assuming management of the Retail division. Andrew has led the continuing development of  the division,  which has grown from 13 to 40 stores under his direction. Most recently, Andrew has played an integral role in Wynnstay's expansion into the pet care market, launching the Group's stand-alone pet stores under the "Just for Pets" brand in June 2007.

Prior to joining Wynnstay, Andrew was a territory manager for Janssen-Cilag Limited, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson's animal healthcare operations in Wales and the Welsh Border Counties, where he was responsible for the sales and marketing activity for a range of over-the-counter products.

Commenting on the appointment, John Davies, Chairman, said,

"We are delighted to welcome Andrew to the Board. He has played an important role in the successful development of the Group's consumer retailing activities over the past few years and Andrew's promotion to the Board is recognition of his contribution to the business to date.

We are seeing exciting opportunities in our Retail division, in particular, with the launch of our dedicated pet store chain, "Just for Pets". I am confident that as we move forward with our twin track approach to growth, consolidating the agricultural supply sector and developing exciting new retail opportunities, Andrew's contribution will be invaluable."

David Andrew Thomas Evans is interested in 11,612 ordinary shares of 25p each in the capital of Wynnstay, representing 0.088% of the Company's issued share capital.

He is also a director of the following companies:

Westhope Livestock Supplies Limited

Wilsons Pet Centres Limited
