White Young Green PLC08 November 2005 For Immediate Release 8 November 2005 WHITE YOUNG GREEN PLC AGM STATEMENT White Young Green Plc ("WYG"), consultant to the built, natural and socialenvironment (LSE:WHY) today held its Annual General Meeting. At the AGM, PeterWood, Chairman made the following statement: "Trading in the current year has started well with strong order intake in thethree month period to 30th September, 2005, generating a £22m increase in thenet order book to a total of £275m. This is an uplift of 31% on the equivalentfigure at 30th September, 2004. Trading conditions continue to be favourablewith strong increases in order book underpinning future organic growth acrossthe Group. In addition, the acquisition of Doy Webster, announced on 2nd November, 2005,strengthens WYG's access to a wide range of private sector markets in thestrategically important south east of England at a time when investment by theprivate sector is increasing. Doy Webster's strong reputation as a preferredsupplier of mechanical and electrical engineering services in the high riseresidential and mixed use development markets will provide opportunities forWYG's other engineering, planning, environmental and management services skillgroups. WYG look forward to continuing to combine strong organic growth with carefullyselected earnings enhancing acquisitions which offer real potential for addedvalue in the context of either skills, markets or clients. In that regard WYG'sacquisition pipeline remains strong with good opportunities to maintain both therate and quality of corporate development established over recent years.
