NEW DIRECTORSHIP HELD BY A DIRECTOR
IN ANY OTHER PUBLICLY QUOTED COMPANY
Pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.14 (2), we confirm that Horst Baier, non-executive director of Whitbread PLC, is expected to be appointed as a member of the supervisory board of Bayer AG with effect from 28 April 2020. The appointment is subject to the approval of shareholders at the Bayer AG AGM on 28 April 2020. If elected, it is anticipated that Horst will become the Chairman of Bayer AG's Audit Committee.
