Majestic Wine PLC29 November 2006 Majestic Wine plc ("the Company") Transaction in own shares On 28 November 2006 the Company made on market purchases of 150,000 ordinaryshares of 7.5 pence each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 323pence per Ordinary Share. The purchased Ordinary Shares will all be held astreasury shares. The issued share capital of the Company is 65,394,400 Ordinary Shares, including990,000 (1.51%) treasury shares. For reporting purposes under section 198 of the Companies Act 1985 the marketshould exclude any Ordinary Shares held in treasury and should use a figure of64,404,400 Ordinary Shares.
