Senior Management Appointment

Majestic Wine PLC, the UK's largest wine specialist with 211 stores and the owner of Naked Wines, the online crowd funded wine retailer, announces that John Colley has been appointed to the new position of MD of Majestic Wine Retail, with effect from 1 October 2015.

John has over 20 years of senior retail experience, most recently as CEO of Praxis Netherlands, a Holland based DIY chain. He also held senior positions at Kingfisher, working as Commercial and Marketing Director in B&Q and Commercial Director at Screwfix.

John will report directly to Rowan Gormley, CEO and will be responsible for managing the Majestic Stores, including Calais. Majestic Commercial, Naked Wines and Lay and Wheeler are all be run by separate Managing Directors.

There is no change to current strategy plans and a further update will be provided at the time of the Interim Results announcement on 16 November 2015.
