Weir Group PLC15 September 2005 The Weir Group PLC 15 September 2005 On 8 July 2005, The Weir Group PLC announced the disposal of the desalinationand water treatment businesses of Weir Westgarth, Weir Entropie and Weir Envigto Veolia Water Systems, part of Veolia Water, the water division of VeoliaEnvironnement. The disposal of the South African company Weir Envig wasconditional on approval of the local competition authorities. This approval hasbeen received and completion of the sale of Weir Envig was finalised on 14September, 2005, with the £2.4m balance of the total aggregate value of £27.7mhaving been paid.
