Weir Group PLC16 March 2007 The Weir Group Plc -------------------- Application has been made to the Financial Services Authority and the LondonStock Exchange Plc for a total of 1,450,000 Ordinary shares of 12.5p each("shares") to be admitted to the Official List. It is expected that admission will be granted on 20 March 2007 and that tradingwill commence 21 March 2007. These shares are being reserved under block listings and will be issued as aresult of the exercise of share awards pursuant to the following schemes: Scheme Shares The Group Long-term Incentive Plan 1,000,000 The Executive Share Option Scheme 1994 450,000 When issued, these shares will rank pari passu with the existing Ordinaryshares.
