Weir Group PLC11 April 2006 The Weir Group Plc -------------------- Application has been made to the Financial Services Authority and the LondonStock Exchange Plc for a total of 1,000,000 Ordinary shares of 12.5p each("shares") to be admitted to the Official List. It is expected that admission will be granted on 12 April 2006 and that tradingwill commence 13 April 2006. These shares are being reserved under block listings and will be issued as aresult of the exercise of share awards pursuant to the following schemes: Scheme SharesExecutive Share Option Scheme 1994 500,000Savings Related Share Option Scheme 1991 250,000Savings Related Share Option Scheme 2001 250,000 When issued, these shares will rank pari passu with the existing Ordinaryshares.
