THE WEIR GROUP PLC

ACQUISITION

The Weir Group PLC announces that it has completed the acquisition ofĀ aĀ 75% shareholding inĀ Standard OilfieldĀ ServicesĀ LimitedĀ for a cash consideration ofĀ c$16million.

Standard Oilfield Services Limited, a privately owned company with its principal operations in Baku, Azerbaijan, is an oil equipment services business, providing an excellent portal to the Caspian region. The company has expected current year sales of over $12million.

This business will become part of Weir Oil & Gas Division.
