Directorate Changes

Obtala Resources Limited (AIM:OBT), the natural resource investment and development company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Grahame Vetch to the Board as Agriculture Operations Director with immediate effect.

As Agriculture Operations Director, Grahame will be primarily responsible for the Company's agricultural projects in Tanzania. Grahame is an agricultural economist with over 30 years of large-scale farm management experience. He was previously the Country Director for Dominion Farms Ltd; a 17,000-acre start-up irrigated rice and fish farm in Kenya. Grahame graduated from the Royal Agricultural College, UK in Farm Management and is a fluent Swahili speaker.

Today's news follows the 12 January 2012 appointment of Grahame as Farm Manager. As highlighted within that statement, Grahame brings to the Company and now the Board a demonstrable track record in farm and agriculture development and operations.

The company also announces Mr Nick Clarke has resigned from the Board as Non-Executive Director to pursue other interests.

Commenting on today's announcement, Francesco Scolaro, Chairman of Obtala, said: "On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Nick for his contributions to Obtala and wish him the best with his future endeavours. Since Grahame joined the Company in 2012, he has assumed full responsibility for our agricultural projects in Tanzania and we look to Grahame's skills set to take these projects through to production with a number of value-adding milestones expected in the next 12 months. The Board and I look forward to working with Grahame in his new position."
