Contract valued at $1.1m over three years
Migration of Hadoop workloads to Google Cloud Platform
Agreement with top five Canadian bank establishes WANdisco brand in growing FSI market
WANdisco (LSE: WAND), the data activation platform, is pleased to announce it has secured a contract with a large financial services firm in Canada (the "Client"). The subscription contract with the Client - a top five Canadian bank - is valued at $1.1 million over three years and was secured directly by WANdisco.
The Client will use WANdisco's LiveData Migrator ("LDM") product to migrate its Hadoop workloads from an on-premise Cloudera cluster to the Google Cloud Platform ("GCP"), as a significant part of its cloud strategy. The initial migration will be of 5 petabytes of data with room for future expansion. The Client chose WANdisco's unique LDM technology as the only solution capable of moving its on-premise data to the cloud within the GCP ecosystem effectively. This automated process ensures the data is kept up to date meaning the Client is not required to manually refresh the new environment. This guarantees minimal business disruption, data consistency and security.
This is WANdisco's first Google Cloud win in North America and represents another contract win in the global financial services market: further confirming the significant opportunity for WANdisco in this key growth market.
