Statement from Victory Park Capital
On behalf of all of us here at Victory Park Capital, we want to express the hope that you, your family, friends and colleagues are and remain healthy.
Following our recent annual letter, we wanted to provide an update on how we are evaluating the recent events and ramifications of COVID-19 on our business and our portfolio companies. To ensure the health and safety of all of our employees and their families, we implemented our business continuity plan and have employees working remotely until further notice. We are leveraging our technology and resources to continue business as usual and are confident we will continue to operate at a consistent level without disruption. We will continue to closely monitor the latest developments to determine when it is appropriate to return to our offices. We will do our part to flatten the curve.
Our goal is to be as transparent as possible with our partners and we will continue to provide updates as they happen.
The focus continues to center around risk management and risk controls with a particular emphasis on liquidity across the spectrum. Our dedicated risk management team continues to work collaboratively with the investment teams to limit deployment considerably as we seek further information on performance. In addition, we are closely monitoring the portfolio and proactively working with our portfolio companies to ensure that they are taking prudent steps to mitigate risk and manage through the ongoing situation. We have instituted an all-hands call at the beginning and end of each day, so that everyone on our team is updated on any new developments given this rapidly changing environment.
We have posted an update on the Company's website with some of the actions we have taken in response to the recent events and highlights the risk management systems that we utilize to monitor the portfolio closely.
VPC was founded in late 2007, just before the emergence of the global financial crisis. Our goal is to take many of the lessons learned then and use them in our approach to the volatile markets today. We have always tried to be a trusted partner and capital provider to our portfolio companies, and we will do everything we can to continue that way in the current environment.
