DIRECTORATE CHANGE

The Board of Volex Group plc announces that with effect from the 9th March 2009 Heejae Chae ceased to be CEO and a Director of the Company.

Volex has appointed Ray Walsh, currently Senior Vice President and Head of Operations, Technology, Products, Communications and Research for Market Force Information, Denver, USA as the Group's new Chief Executive Officer.  Ray will join the Company on 6th April 2009.

Ray, currently  manages the operational execution and supporting technology platforms across all of Market Force Information's business lines.  Prior to this role, Ray worked for 20 years in various senior roles for a number of global companies within the telecoms sector.

Commenting on the changes, Mike McTighe said:

"Heejae has been with the Group for four years, joining the Group and the Board as Chief Operating Officer in June 2005 before taking up the role of CEO in May 2006. On behalf of the Board I wish Heejae well with his future endeavours.

"Ray brings a wealth of operational and change management experience and is renowned for his drive, unbridled commitment, and leadership skills. The Group will benefit from his hands on style as we complete the disposal of our Wiring Harness business and focus on the Group's two remaining core businesses, Power Products and Interconnect. On behalf of the Board I welcome Ray to the Group."
