DIRECTORATE CHANGES

The Board of Volex Group plc (the "Company") today announces that David Beever has informed the Board that he intends to retire as a director, with effect from 31 December 2008. 

Commenting, Mike McTighe, Chairman said:

"David, who is currently the senior independent director, joined the Company in August 2002 and during that time has demonstrated both dedication and commitment to the Company, including accepting the position of interim Chairman for a short period of time in 2005. On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank David for his valued contribution and wish him every success for the future."

A replacement Senior Independent Director will be appointed in due course.
