Appointment of Non-executive Director

Volex plc ("Volex"), the global provider of customised electric power and data interconnect solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Martin Geh as a Non-executive director with immediate effect.

Martin has spent the majority of his career in the electronic component and electronic consumer goods sector. Based in Singapore, he has worked in the region for over 20 years. He was most recently Managing Director, Asia Pacific and Japan, of Logitech International. Having joined Logitech International in 2006, Martin developed and executed growth strategies in key markets including China, India and Japan. During his tenure, Martin managed important corporate restructuring work which led to improvements in financial performance and closer working relationships with key distributors, retailers and alliance partners such as Apple, Google and Intel. 

Prior to Logitech International, Martin was President of Lucent Technologies, Asia Pacific and Japan from 2002 - 2006. During his tenure, Martin returned the business to profitability and increased sales to $500million. From 2000 - 2002, Martin was Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Apple Inc where he was responsible for sales, marketing, business management and business development. From 1988 - 2000 Martin had a number of sales and management roles for Intel Corporation in the US and Asia.
